The 1957 Detroit Lions season was the franchise's 28th season in the National Football League (NFL) and their 24th as the Detroit Lions. The Lions won their fourth and most recent NFL championship.

The 1998–99 NBA season was the 52nd season of the National Basketball Association in New York City. The head coach was Jeff Van Gundy, serving for his 4th year. The team played its home games at Madison Square Garden in New York City. To give All-Star center Patrick Ewing more help offensively and defensively, the Knicks acquired All-Star guard Latrell Sprewell from the Golden State Warriors and Marcus Camby from the Toronto Raptors. The team also signed free agent Kurt Thomas and re-signed Herb Williams during the offseason. However, because of the lockout shortened season, and injuries to Sprewell and Ewing, the Knicks had to build chemistry on the fly, and barely made the playoffs with a 27–23 record, fourth in the Atlantic Division. The Knicks had to win six of its remaining eight games just to qualify. Sprewell played a sixth man role averaging 16.4 points per game off the bench.

The 2009–10 Major Indoor Soccer League was the sophomore season for the league, and first under the revived MISL banner. It marked the 32nd season of professional Division 1 indoor soccer. The members of the MISL's second season teams were the Baltimore Blast, the Milwaukee Wave, the Monterrey La Raza, the Philadelphia KiXX, and the Rockford Rampage.

The 2014–15 Missouri Comets season was the fifth season of the Missouri Comets professional indoor soccer club. The Comets, a Central Division team in the Major Arena Soccer League, played their home games in the Independence Events Center in Independence, Missouri.

The 2014–15 Milwaukee Wave season was the thirty-first season of the Milwaukee Wave professional indoor soccer club. The Wave, a Central Division team in the Major Arena Soccer League, played their home games in the UW–Milwaukee Panther Arena in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The 2014–15 Baltimore Blast season was the twenty-third season of the Baltimore Blast professional indoor soccer club. The Blast, an Eastern Division team in the Major Arena Soccer League, played their home games at Royal Farms Arena in downtown Baltimore, Maryland.
