The NCAA Tournament would be subsequently canceled in order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The Patriot League was the final conference to hold its championship game before all others remaining were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

They finished the season 12–10, 7–7 in Patriot League play to finish in second place in the North Division. They earned the fourth seed in the Patriot League tournament, losing in the semifinals to Loyola. They were invited to the College Basketball Invitational where they lost to Bellarmine in the quarterfinals.
