The Albania women's national volleyball team is the national team of Albania. It is governed by the Albanian Volleyball Federation and takes part in international volleyball competitions.
The team won at the 1987 Mediterranean Games in Syria. Winning in Volleyball at the 1987 Mediterranean Games the golden medal. Winning all of their 5 matches and losing two sets against Italy 3-1 and against Greece winning with 3-1. The team would beat Turkey and Lebanon with 3-0 set wins. [1]

Albania women's national volleyball team would participate once in their history, for the Women's European Volleyball Championship in 1991 Women's European Volleyball Championship were they were drawn in Pool A in the preliminary round. They faced as their opponent's Soviet Union, Italy, Bulgaria, France and Greece. They lost all off their Matches in this pool and couldn't advance further in this Tournament. [2]
In the same year they participated at the Mediterranean Games in 1991 finishing their campaign in the 4th place. After losing to Greece in the Third place match with 0-3 missing close on their second medal, it would be their last time that they qualify for the Medal ranking match. [3]
Albania national team participated in the 2018 Women's European Volleyball League. They were shorted in Pool B of silver league along with Austria, Israel and Georgia. Albania started with a 3–0 win versus Georgia on 20 May 2018. [4] Later on 2 June, Albania defeated Austria 3–2 after a long fierce game, in which they lost the first two sets, before winning the next two; the match went to the final set where Albania won 15–11. [5] Four days later, the team clinched a spot in the semi-final by winning 3–0 versus Georgia. [6] [7]
Albania lost 0–3 to Sweden in the semi-final, before defeating Estonia in the 3rd place match, winning an unforeseen bronze medal. [8]

Albanian athletes have won a total 49 medals for Albania in 8 different Mediterranean sports. Albania has had some success in others sport such as volleyball and basketball as well.
The Poland men's national volleyball team represents Poland in international volleyball competition. The team is directed by the Polish Volleyball Federation, the governing body for volleyball in Poland, which represents the country in international competitions and friendly matches.
Naz Aydemir Akyol is a Turkish volleyball player, widely regarded as one of the best setters in international volleyball. She plays as setter for Eczacıbaşı Dynavit and the Turkey women's national volleyball team. She has won a total of nine Turkish League championships, four with Vakıfbank, three with Eczacıbaşı and two with Fenerbahçe. She has four CEV Champions League championships, winning three with Vakıfbank and one with Fenerbahçe. She also has three FIVB Club World Championship, winning two with Vakıfbank and one with Fenerbahçe. She participated at the 2012 Summer Olympics and 2020 Summer Olympics.
Maja Ognjenović is a Serbian professional volleyball player of the Serbia women's national volleyball team. Ognjenović won gold with the national team at the 2018 World Championship, and the 2011/2019 edition of the European Championship, silver at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, and bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics.

The 2010 Men's European Volleyball League was the seventh edition of the annual Men's European Volleyball League, which featured men's national volleyball teams from eight European countries: Austria, Great Britain, Greece, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, and Turkey. A preliminary league round was played from June 4 to July 11, and the final four tournament was held at the Polideportivo Aguas Vivas hall, in Guadalajara, Spain, on July 16 and 17.
The Women's European Volleyball Championship is the official competition for senior women's national volleyball teams of Europe, organized by the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV). The initial gap between championships was variable, but since 1975 they have been awarded every two years. The current champion is Turkey, which won its first title at the 2023 tournament.
Zhu Ting is a professional Chinese volleyball player. She is an outside hitter and former captain of the Chinese women's volleyball national team. She played for Vakıfbank Istanbul from 2016 to 2019. Currently, she plays for Italian club Savino del Bene Scandicci.
The Montenegro men's national volleyball team represents Montenegro in international men's volleyball competitions and friendly matches. The national volleyball team was formed in 2006, recently after independence. Montenegro has been a full member of FIVB and CEV since 2006.
Tijana Bošković is a Serbian professional volleyball player. She has won gold medals with the Serbia women's national volleyball team at the 2018 and 2022 World Championships, and the 2017 and 2019 European Championships. She is also a two-time Olympic medalist, having won silver at the 2016 Rio Games and bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Games.
The Albania women's national basketball team represents Albania in international women's basketball competitions, and is controlled by the Albanian Basketball Association.
The Albania men's national volleyball team is the national volleyball team of Albania. As of December 2021, the team is ranked 78th in the world. They have competed in many European and world volleyball championships, but as of October 16, 2021, are yet to win a gold medal.
Nina Betschart is a Swiss professional beach volleyball player who plays as a right side defender with her partner Tanja Hüberli. She is a two-time European Champion, winning the title in 2021 and 2023, and the silver medallist at the 2018 and 2022 European Championships. With her former partner Nicole Eiholzer, she won the gold medal at the first ever European Games in 2015. Alongside Hüberli, Betschart has won combined total of 1 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze medals on FIVB World Tour and its successor Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour. Betschart / Hüberli team represented Switzerland at the 2020 Summer Olympics where they finished in ninth place and played a pivotal role at their country's triumph in the women's event of the inaugural CEV Beach Volleyball Nations Cup in 2022. They achieved a career-high World ranking of No. 2 in November 2021.
Stella Christodoulou is a female professional volleyball player from Greece, who is a member of the Greece women's national volleyball team. At club level, she plays in Hellenic Volley League for Greek club AO Thiras.
Katerina Giota is a female professional volleyball player from Greece, who is a member of the Greece women's national volleyball team. At club level, she plays in Hellenic Volley League for Greek club AEK Athens since May 2023.

The 2019–20 CEV Challenge Cup was the 40th edition of the CEV Challenge Cup tournament. 40 teams from 28 countries were participating in the competition. The tournament has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Krista Vansant is a volleyball player and coach who played collegiately for Washington. In 2022, she was the assistant coach for the University of Illinois volleyball team after spending 3 seasons as an assistant coach at Indiana.
The Moldova women's national volleyball team represents Moldova in international women's volleyball competitions and friendly matches, The Team Ruled and managed by the Moldovan Volleyball Federation that is a part of the Federation of International Volleyball (FIVB) as well as the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV), The Moldova Team also follow the Balkan Volleyball Association (BVA).
