This is a list of mayors of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Between 1888-1898 council consisted of five councillors elected by wards and two members appointed by the Newfoundland government. Then from 1898-1902 government by commission. In 1902, legislation passed that dictated a municipal council would be formed by six councillors-at-large and one mayor, elected by those citizens of St. John's who pay property taxes. The city council currently comprises 11 members: the Mayor, the Deputy Mayor and nine councillors, five which represent wards throughout the city and four that are elected at large.

Previously he served as the Minister of Municipal and Intergovernmental Affairs, the Minister Responsible for Fire and Emergency Services – Newfoundland and Labrador, and Registrar General in the cabinets of Kathy Dunderdale and Tom Marshall. He served as the Member of the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly for the District of Mount Pearl North from 2007 until 2017.

Shawn Skinner is a Canadian politician in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Skinner is a former St. John's City Councillor and former Member of the House of Assembly (MHA) for the district of St. John's Centre. He served as a MHA from 2003 to 2011 and was a minister in the cabinets of Danny Williams and Kathy Dunderdale. He is currently the Training Director for the Carpenter Millwright College.

Dorothy Mary Wyatt, née Fanning (1925–2001) was a Canadian politician, who served as mayor of St. John's, Newfoundland from 1973 to 1981. She was the city's first female mayor.

Bernard Davis is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly in the 2015 provincial election. He represents the electoral district of Virginia Waters-Pleasantville as a member of the Liberal Party. He previously served on the St. John's City Council, having run unsuccessfully in 2008 and 2009, before being elected in 2013.
