The North Macedonia men's national water polo team was formed in 1991, following the Republic of Macedonia's declaration of independence. Before 1991, the Republic of Macedonia was part of Yugoslavia, and its players participated in the Yugoslavia national water polo team.

Contents

The first major event that the team qualified for was the 2008 Men's European Water Polo Championship, finishing in 8th place.

Genai Kerr is an American water polo player. He is a member of the United States men's national water polo team and played in the 2004 Athens Olympics. Genai was a member of the United States Men's National Water Polo Team for 12 years and played in the 2004 Athens Olympics, 2003 & 2007 Pan American Gold medal games, and multiple World Championships. He is one of the only athletes in history to compete internationally as a goalie and as a field player. Most recently he was named MVP of the 2012 US Open after he helped Newport Water Polo Foundation win the national championship. Genai has coached at every level, from age group to Division 1 college programs. Over the last 15 years he has run hundreds of camps with Nike 5meter Water Polo Camps.

The 2018 FINA Men's Water Polo World League is the 17th edition of the annual men's international water polo tournament. It will be played between November 2017 and June 2018 and opened to all men's water polo national teams. After participating in a preliminary round, eight teams qualify to play in a final tournament, called the Super Final from 18–23 June 2018. The top two teams also automatically qualify for the 2019 FINA World Aquatics Championships in 2019.
