History
Indautxu was founded in 1924, was disbanded in 1929, and then reformed in 1940, also being referred to as Sociedad Deportiva Indauchu.
In 1955–56's second division, with former Athletic Bilbao players Telmo Zarra and José Luis Panizo in the squad, and with another, Rafael Iriondo, as coach, the team made its debuts in the Spanish second division, finishing third in 1956–57 and 1958–59, and fourth in 1957–58.
Indautxu maintained its division status until the Segunda Division status until the 1966–67 season, returning for the last time in 1968–69, and meeting the same fate.
Athletic Club, commonly known as just Athletic domestically and often as Athletic Bilbao abroad, is a professional football club based in the city of Bilbao in the Basque Country, Spain. They are known as Los Leones because their stadium was built near a church called San Mamés, which was named after Saint Mammes, an early Christian thrown to the lions by the Romans. Mammes pacified the lions and was later made a saint. The team plays its home matches at the San Mamés Stadium. Its home colours are red and white-striped shirts with black shorts.
Pedro Telmo Zarraonandía Montoya, known as Telmo Zarra, was a Spanish football forward. He spent the majority of his career at Athletic Bilbao, from 1940 to 1955, for whom he remains the top scorer in competitive matches with 335 goals.

Founded in 1964, the team holds home matches at the small stadium attached to the club's training facility at Lezama, holding 3,250 spectators or occasionally at San Mamés Stadium, with its 53,500-seat capacity, for important fixtures.
The Lezama Facilities, are the training ground and academy of the Primera Division club Athletic Bilbao. Located in the village of Lezama, around 10–15 kilometers east of Bilbao, the facilities were opened in 1971 and currently cover 13 hectares. Athletic's academy is often referred to metonymically as Lezama.
