The Sri Lanka women's under-19 cricket team represents Sri Lanka in international under-19 women's cricket. The team is administrated by Sri Lanka Cricket (SL).
The team played their first official matches at the 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup, the first-ever international women's under-19 cricket competition, in which they reached the Super Six stage. [1] [2]
The inaugural Women's Under-19 World Cup was scheduled to take place in January 2021, but was postponed multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [3] The tournament was eventually scheduled to take place in 2023, in South Africa. As a Full Member of the ICC, Sri Lanka qualified automatically for the tournament. [4]
Sri Lanka named their 15-player squad for the tournament on 5 December 2022. [5] The side reached the Super Six stage, in which they finished fifth in their group. [2]

The Pakistan women's national cricket team, also known as Green Shirts or Women in Green, represents Pakistan in international women's cricket. One of eight teams competing in the ICC Women's Championship, the team is organised by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), a Full Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Kane Stuart Williamson is a New Zealand cricketer who is currently the captain of the New Zealand national team in limited overs cricket. Dané van Niekerk is a South African cricketer born in Pretoria and educated at Hoërskool Centurion. A right-handed batter and leg break bowler, she played for South Africa in Test matches, One Day Internationals (ODI) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20I) between 2009 and 2021, and was captain of the side between 2016 and 2021. She was the first bowler for South Africa to take 100 wickets in WODIs. On 16 March 2023, she announced her retirement from international cricket.
Atapattu Mudiyanselage Chamari Jayangani is a Sri Lankan cricketer and the current captain of the women's Twenty20 International team of Sri Lanka. She had a short stint as the captain of the Sri Lanka women's team, and was succeeded by the previous captain Shashikala Siriwardene. Chamari was the tenth captain for Sri Lanka women's national cricket team, winning only one ODI, with 13 losses. In November 2017, she was named the Women's Cricketer of the Year for the 2016–17 season at Sri Lanka Cricket's annual awards. She is the first Sri Lankan woman to play in franchise cricket.
Pinnaduwage Wanindu Hasaranga de Silva, better known as Wanindu Hasaranga, is a Sri Lankan international cricketer who plays for the Sri Lanka cricket team in white ball cricket as a bowling All rounder. He is a Right-arm leg spinner. Hasaranga made his international debut for Sri Lanka in July 2017. His elder brother, Chaturanga de Silva, has also represented the national team.

The 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-off is the inaugural edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-off, a cricket tournament which forms part of the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualification process. It is taking place in March and April 2023, with all matches having One Day International (ODI) status, regardless of whether or not a team had ODI status prior to the start of the event.
The 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup was the first edition of the ICC Women's Under-19 Cricket World Cup, hosted by South Africa in 2023. The tournament was moved from its original slot at the end of 2021 to January 2023 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Sixteen teams competed in the tournament, initially divided into four groups.
