The R. Premadasa Cricket Stadium(RPS) (Sinhala: ආර්. ප්‍රේමදාස ක්‍රීඩාංගනය, Tamil: ஆர். பிரேமதாச அரங்கம்; formerly known as Khettarama Stadium) is a cricket stadium on Khettarama Road, in the Maligawatta suburb of Colombo, Sri Lanka. The stadium was, before June 1994, known as the Khettarama Cricket Stadium and is today one of the main venues where the Sri Lankan cricket team play, having hosted more than 100 one-day international matches. It is the largest stadium in Sri Lanka with a capacity of 35,000 spectators. It has hosted the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 final between Sri Lanka and West Indies; the 2002 ICC Champions Trophy final between Sri Lanka and India and first semi-final of the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup between Sri Lanka and New Zealand. This was where the highest Test score in history was recorded; 952 by Sri Lanka against India. With capacity exceeding Lord's in England, the stadium is known as the "home of Sri Lankan cricket".

The Indian cricket team toured Sri Lanka from 28 January to 10 February 2009. The tour included five ODIs and one T20I. India won the ODI series 4-1 and also the T20I.

The Sri Lankan team toured India from 11 November to 27 December 2009, playing three Tests, five ODIs and two T20Is. The series was called the Jaypee cup.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Sharjeel Khan</span> Pakistani cricketer

Sharjeel Khan is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League and for Sindh in the Pakistan domestic tournaments. He made his first-class debut for Hyderabad in the 2009–10 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy on 10 October 2009. He was banned for two and a half years in 2017 for his involvement in spot-fixing. In August 2019, his ban was lifted and he again became available for playing.

The Pakistani cricket team toured Sri Lanka from 1 June to 12 July 2012. The tour consists of two Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), five One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Test matches.

The Sri Lankan cricket team toured Australia from 6 December 2012 to 28 January 2013. The tour consisted of three Tests, five One Day Internationals (ODIs) and two Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Tests were played for the Warne–Muralidaran Trophy. The Test series was preceded by a match against the Cricket Australia Chairman's XI and Sri Lankans.

The Sri Lanka national cricket team toured England from 13 May to 24 June 2014 for a Twenty20 International (T20I), five One Day Internationals (ODIs) and two Test matches against the England cricket team. They also played three one-day and one four-day tour matches against English county sides, as well as preceding the entire tour with a two-match ODI series against Ireland. Sri Lanka won the Test series 1–0, the ODI series 3–2 and the one-off T20I.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2016 Asia Cup</span> Cricket tournament in Bangladesh

The 2016 Asia Cup was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament that was held in Bangladesh from 24 February to 6 March 2016. It was the 13th edition of the Asia Cup, the fifth to be held in Bangladesh, and the first to be played using the T20I format. Bangladesh hosted the tournament for the third consecutive time after 2012 and 2014. Micromax was the main sponsor of the tournament after 2012.

The English cricket team toured the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to play Pakistan in October and November 2015. The Pakistan cricket team played their 'home' fixtures in the UAE due to ongoing security concerns in Pakistan since the 2009 attack on the Sri Lanka national cricket team.

The West Indies cricket team toured Sri Lanka in October/November 2015 to play two Tests, three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and two Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. Starting with this series, all bilateral Test tours between the West Indies and Sri Lanka will be called the Sobers–Tissera Trophy. Sri Lanka won the Test series 2–0, the ODI series 3–0 with the T20I series was drawn 1–1.

England won the Test series 2–0, the ODI series 3–0 and won the one-off T20I match by 8 wickets.

The Pakistan national cricket team toured England, Wales and Ireland from 3 July to 7 September 2016 for a four-match Test series, a five-match One Day International (ODI) series and a one-off Twenty20 International (T20I) against the England cricket team. They also played two three-day matches against Somerset and Sussex prior to the Test series, a two-day match against Worcestershire during the Test series, and two ODI matches against Ireland prior to the ODI series.

The Pakistani cricket team toured Australia in December 2016 to play three Test matches and five One Day Internationals (ODIs). The 1st Test at The Gabba in Brisbane was a day/night match played with a pink ball. In preparation for the first Test, ten matches in Pakistan's 2016–17 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and the first round of matches in Australia's 2016–17 Sheffield Shield season were played as day/night matches. Ahead of the Test matches, Pakistan also played a first-class match against Cricket Australia XI.

The Ireland cricket team toured India during March 2017 to play five One Day Internationals (ODIs), three Twenty20 International (T20Is) and an ICC Intercontinental Cup match against Afghanistan. All the matches were played at the Greater Noida Sports Complex Ground, Greater Noida. Afghanistan won the T20I series 3–0 and the ODI series 3–2. Afghanistan also won the ICC Intercontinental Cup match, by an innings and 172 runs.

The Ireland cricket team toured India in February and March 2019 to play three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), five One Day Internationals (ODIs) and a Test match against the Afghanistan cricket team. It was Ireland's first Test played overseas and the first Test match between the two sides. All of the fixtures took place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun. The ODI fixtures were part of Afghanistan's preparation for the 2019 Cricket World Cup. In January 2019, the fixtures were brought forward by two days, to avoid clashing with the Indian Premier League.
