Suckin' It for the Holidays is a comedy album by American stand-up comedian Kathy Griffin. It was recorded at Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey. It was released online shortly before the Grammy nominations cut-off, in her second attempt to win the award. [2] Her first comedy album, For Your Consideration , received a Best Comedy Album nomination in 2008 but George Carlin posthumously won for It's Bad for Ya .

Despite the title, Suckin' It for the Holidays, is not a holiday album, although Kwanzaa is mentioned briefly. Griffin addresses many of her favorite subjects, including the foibles of celebrities and people who appear on reality television.

Though not as successful as her previous album, this one entered the Top Comedy Album at number four on its debut, making it another Top Ten album for Griffin on this chart.

The album was recorded at the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts in Tracy, California on February 17, 2008. It is Griffin's first audio-only release of her stand-up material. Included on the disc are her takes on various celebrities and her personal life. Griffin stated that she decided to release this CD to try to win a Grammy award. For Your Consideration received a Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album, but lost to George Carlin's It's Bad for Ya.

Live [liv, verb] is the second live [līv, adj.] album by comedian Tig Notaro. It is a deeply personal set performed just four days after Tig was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer. The album was first released by Louis C.K. on his website in 2012 by download only. It was the first release that C.K. had on his website that was not one of his own works. The album is no longer on his site, but it has a link to iTunes. The audio of the album was originally recorded at Notaro's regular monthly stand-up show Tig Has Friends at Largo for an episode of the radio show This American Life. Notaro did not want to put out the album at first, but C.K. convinced her to release it.
