The Tradition

The Tradition is an event on the PGA Tour Champions tour. First staged 31 years ago in 1989, the PGA Tour recognizes the event as one of the five senior major golf championships. Unlike the U.S. Senior Open, Senior PGA Championship and Senior Open Championship, it is not recognized as a major by the European Senior Tour, and is not part of that tour's official schedule. It is the only senior major where the winner does not earn an exemption into a PGA Tour or European Tour event.

The Pennsylvania Classic was a golf tournament on the PGA Tour, held from 2000 through 2006 at three different Pennsylvania courses. The event's final title sponsor was lumber company 84 Lumber. The host course from 2003 to 2006 was Mystic Rock near Farmington, designed by Pete Dye and part of the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, owned by 84 Lumber founder Joseph Hardy.

Golf course was created by golf architect Ed Auit in 1969 on a 220 acres splendidly wooded landscape, takes golfers though forestland, around one of Maryland's finest lakes, and alongside numerous creeks and swales. This course is run by Billy Casper Golf. This course is an 18-hole public golf course, 70/71 par course. At the Ike is 6,659 yards with the slope of 126. The Back is 6,288 yards, slope of 121. The Middle is 5,876 yards, slope of 118. The Front is 4,884 yards, slope of 108.
