The 2021 Armenia Women's International Friendly Tournament, also known as the Our Game International Friendly Tournament, [1] was a friendly international women's football championship. It was held in Armenia from 7 to 12 April 2021, and was played by four teams: Lithuania, Armenia, Jordan, and Lebanon. [2] The tournament was won by Lithuania, whereas hosts Armenia finished runners-up. [3]

Sargis Hovsepyan is an Armenian professional football coach and a former player who played as a right-back. Hovsepyan was the long-time captain of the Armenia national team. He participated in 133 international matches and scored two goals since his debut in the national team's first game in a home friendly match against Moldova on 14 October 1992. Hovsepyan ended his career on 14 November 2012 at the age of 39, just over a month before turning 40 years old. He was the last member of the first Armenia national team to retire. After his final match, he was awarded the Medal of the City Hall. A month after the completion of his playing career, he was appointed director of the Armenia national team.

Arkady Georgievich Andreasyan was a Soviet Armenian football player and manager. He played as midfielder for Ararat Yerevan in most of his club career and for the Soviet Union national football team. He was a member of the Ararat Yerevan team that won the Soviet Top League in 1973 and the Soviet Cup in 1973 and 1975 and a member of the Soviet Olympic football team that won bronze at the 1972 Summer Olympics. Andreasyan was awarded the Master of Sport of the USSR title in 1971, the Honoured Coach of the Armenian SSR title in 1982 and the Order For Merit to the Fatherland of Armenia in 2011. He was the manager of Ararat Yerevan.

FC Pyunik were the defending champions. The Yerevan side won their seventh consecutive league title the previous season, their tenth overall. FC Dinamo Yerevan were supposed to be the team to get promoted, but they withdrew from the Premier League, and were disbanded.

The 2005 Armenian First League season started on 19 April 2005. The last matches were played on 8 October 2005. Pyunik-2 became the league champions, but because they are a reserve team they were unable to promote to the Armenian Premier League. As a result, the second placed team Ararat Yerevan was given promotion. The third placed team Gandzasar played in the promotion/relegation play-off, which they lost.

The Armenia women's national football team is the national football team of Armenia and is controlled by the Football Federation of Armenia. After the split of the Soviet Union, the team played its first international match. They play their home games at the Mika Stadium in Yerevan. The team's first match was on 10 May 2003 against Austria which they lost 11–0. The team has not qualified for a World Cup or a Women's Euro yet.
