Japan's ambassador in Rome is accredited to Albania, [2] while an honorary consulate in Tirana assists Japanese interests in Albania.
Diplomatic relations were established in April, 1922 with the recognition of the new independent Albanian state from Japan. On June 20, 1930, the First Commercial Treaty between the two countries was signed. In 1935 the Kingdom of Albania opened the Honorary Consulate in Osaka. After the World War II the relations were frozen and they were re-established on March, 1981. In December 2005 the Embassy of the Republic of Albania was opened in Tokyo and the Japanese Government opened an embassy in Tirana.
Japan's Official Development Assistance to Albania amounts 25.278 billion yen in total, or approximately 179 million EUR (as of May 2014)
The two countries have signed more than 15 bilateral agreements[ specify ] and most of them are focused on the development of the Economy of Albania. In September 2007, an agreement was reached on visa abolition of diplomatic passports with Japan and it entered into force on 10.12.2007.

Though the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) is the government agency which is responsible for conducting the foreign relations of Nepal, historically, it is the Office of Prime Minister (PMO) which has exercised the authority to formulate the country's foreign policies. As a landlocked country wedged between two larger and far stronger powers, Nepal has tried to maintain good relations with both of its neighbors, People's Republic of China and Republic of India. However, the relationship between Nepal and India was significantly hampered by the 2015 Nepal blockade when the Government of Nepal accused India of mimicking "Russia-Ukraine" tactics by using ethnically Indian residents of Nepal to cause unrest along Nepal's southern border. India denied the allegation and said the unrest were an internal affair. For the most part though, Nepal has traditionally maintained a non-aligned policy and enjoys friendly relations with its neighboring countries and almost all the major countries of the world.
The foreign relations of Albania are its relations with other governments and peoples. Foreign relations are conducted through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tirana. The current minister is Igli Hasani. The current Ambassador to the United Nations is Ferit Hoxha.

Albania has an embassy in Vienna and 7 honorary consulates in Eisenstadt, Gössendorf, Graz, Grödig, Salzburg, St. Pölten and Villach. Austria has an embassy in Tirana. The history of diplomatic relations of Albania and Austria dates back to 1912, when Albania declared its independence on November 28, 1912. As a European Union (EU) member, Austria supports Albania in its euro-integration path.
