Fairfield County is a county in the southwestern corner of the U.S. state of Connecticut. It is the most populous county in the state and was also its fastest-growing from 2010 to 2020. As of the 2020 census, the county's population was 957,419, representing 26.6% of Connecticut's overall population. The closest to the center of the New York metropolitan area, the county contains four of the state's top 7 largest cities—Bridgeport (1st), Stamford (2nd), Norwalk (6th), and Danbury (7th)—whose combined population of 433,368 is nearly half the county's total population.
Norwalk is a city located in southwestern Connecticut, United States, in southern Fairfield County, on the northern shore of Long Island Sound. Norwalk lies within both the New York metropolitan area and the Bridgeport metropolitan area.
Alex A. Knopp is an American professor and former politician who served three terms as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives from the 139th District, which encompassed Norwalk, from 1987 to 1993. He served another four terms from the 137th District between 1993 to 2001 for the Democratic Party.
Oxford Township is one of the nine townships of Erie County, Ohio, United States. It is part of the Sandusky, Ohio micropolitan statistical area and the Cleveland-Akron-Canton Combined Statistical Area. The 2010 census recorded 1,201 residents, fewer than any other township in Erie County. However, the township's population gain of 9.6% since the 2000 census population of 1,096 is the largest increase in entire county.

He previously served as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing the 137th District. He is currently Majority Leader of the Connecticut Senate, and serves as chair of the Executive and Legislative Nominations Committee and vice chair of the Legislative Management Committee.
Bruce V. Morris was a six-term Democratic member of the Connecticut House of Representatives representing Norwalk, Connecticut in the 140th assembly district from 2007 to 2019. He was deputy speaker house of representatives and on`the following committees: finance revenue and bonding; judiciary; human services; legislative management. He was named assistant majority whip during his second term and served in that capacity until his promotion to deputy majority whip in 2012. Morris served as Chairman of the Connecticut General Assembly Black and Puerto Rican Caucus during the 2015-2016 session. He served the previous three sessions as vice-chairman. Morris serves as an assistant pastor at Macedonia Church in Norwalk. He served as Director of Human Relations for the Norwalk school system beginning November 5, 1998 until September 2016.He then became District School Climate Coordinator until June 30, 2017. He was also an elected executive board member of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators.
Douglas C. Mintz is a judge on the Stamford/Norwalk District Superior Court in Connecticut. He is a former Democratic member of the Connecticut House of Representatives from Norwalk, Connecticut's 140th House district. He resigned his seat to become a judge, causing a vacancy and a special election was held to fill it in February 1993. Judge Mintz is now a partner at leading Connecticut law firm, Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP.

Samuel Hanford was a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives from Norwalk in the sessions of October 1705, May 1707, May 1708, May 1711, May 1714, October 1717, October 1719, May 1720, October 1722, October 1733, May and October 1735, May and October 1736, and May and October 1737. He also served as Norwalk town clerk from 1707 to 1708. He served as a justice of the peace for Norwalk in 1711, 1723, 1724, and from 1735 until his death in 1751. He served as a selectman for seven years.
Connecticut's 26th Senate district elects one member of the Connecticut Senate. The district consists of the entirety of Westport, Wilton, Ridgefield, and Redding, and parts of Bethel, New Canaan and Weston. Previously, the 26th district comprised Norwalk, Wilton, New Canaan, and Easton. However, in the late 1970s Norwalk and Darien became the 25th district.
