The 2010 South Sydney Rabbitohs season was the 101st in the club's history. It competed in the National Rugby League's 2010 Telstra Premiership and finished 9th out of 16 teams, only just missing out on a place in the finals. The coach of the club was John Lang and club captain was Roy Asotasi.

Pre-season

The South Sydney Rabbitohs pre-season schedule began with a return to spiritual home Redfern Oval on Sunday 7 February, with the Rabbitohs winning 42–12 over the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles. English Recruit Sam Burgess picked up his first try in Rabbitohs colours; Adam Reynolds, Jason Clark, Brock Molan, Kennedy Pettybourne, Josh Mansour, Curtis Johnston and Matt Mundine each scored a try. Two weeks later the Rabbitohs took their pre-season to Coffs Harbour, New South Wales to play the Gold Coast Titans at BCU International Stadium in front of 5,500 supporters. The Titans took the match 28–22. Luke Capewell grabbed a double, while Issac Luke and Junior Vaivai scored the other two tries. [2]

The Rabbitohs then took part in the traditional Charity Shield clash against the St George Illawarra Dragons. The Rabbitohs retained the Charity Shield after a 26–26 draw. Fetuli Fetuli Talanoa grabbed a treble; and Ben Lowe and Nathan Merritt scored the other two tries. [3]

The National Rugby League is a professional rugby league competition in Australasia which contains clubs from New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory and New Zealand.

The 2006 NRL season was the 99th season of professional rugby league football in Australia and the ninth run by the National Rugby League. The lineup of teams remained unchanged from the previous year, with fifteen clubs competing for the 2006 Telstra Premiership. Throughout the 26 rounds of the regular season ten teams from New South Wales, two from Queensland and one each from Victoria, the ACT and New Zealand competed for the minor premiership. Eight of these teams qualified for the four-week finals series, with the Brisbane Broncos eventual victors over the Melbourne Storm in the grand final. Melbourne finished the regular season first so were awarded the minor premiership, but this was later revoked due to the Melbourne Storm salary cap breach.

This article contains information on rugby league played in 2007. The season commenced with the World Club Challenge and concluded with the New Zealand All Golds Tour in November.

The Grand Final was won by the Melbourne Storm in their fourth consecutive grand final appearance. The Tigers then came within one game of the grand final but were knocked out by eventual premiers, St. George Illawarra.

The 2011 NRL season was the 104th season of professional rugby league football club competition in Australia, and the fourteenth and last run by the National Rugby League's partnership committee of the Australian Rugby League and News Ltd. The NRL's main championship, called the 2011 Telstra Premiership due to sponsorship from Telstra, was contested by sixteen teams for the fifth consecutive year. Alongside was the fourth season of the Toyota Cup taking place.

The 2011 NRL season consisted of 26 weekly regular season rounds, which began on 11 March and ended on 4 September, followed by four weeks of the finals series culminating in the grand final on 2 October.

They competed in the NRL's 2012 Telstra Premiersip under rookie coach Michael Maguire and finished the regular season 3rd, Having made the finals for the 2nd since 1989, the Rabbitohs then came to within one game of the 2012 NRL Grand final but were knocked out of contention by eventual grand finalists the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

Coached by Jason Taylor and captained by David Kidwell & Roy Asotasi, the team competed in the National Rugby League's 2008 Telstra Premiership, finishing the regular season in 14th place out of 16 teams and so failing to reach the finals. The club also competed in the 2008 Under-20s competition.

The 2015 Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks season is the 49th in the club's history. Coached by Shane Flanagan and captained by Paul Gallen, they competed in the NRL's 2015 Telstra Premiership. Starting the season as the previous season's wooden spooners, the Sharks finished the regular season in 6th place to reach the finals, winning their first play-off match but losing their second to eventual premiers North Queensland Cowboys and being knocked out of contention.

The 2016 South Sydney Rabbitohs season is the 107th in the club's history. Coached by Michael Maguire and captained by Greg Inglis, they are competing in the National Rugby League's 2016 Telstra Premiership.
