The 2012 Dahsyatnya Awards was an awards show for Indonesian musicians. It was the fourth annual show. The show was held on January 25, 2012, at the Jakarta International Expo in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. The awards show was hosted by Raffi Ahmad, Olga Syahputra, Olla Ramlan, Jessica Iskandar, Ayu Ting Ting, Boy William and Pak Tarno. [1] The awards ceremonies will held theme for "Sebarkan Kedahsyatan Cintamu".

Kemayoran is a subdistrict of Central Jakarta, Indonesia. Kemayoran is roughly bounded by Landas Pacu Barat and Landas Pacu Timur road to the north, Letjend Suprapto Road to the south, and a canal along the Sunter Raya road to the northeast. The area is best known as the location of the former Kemayoran Airport, although the area of the former airport itself is actually located in two subdistrict, the northern part lies on the Subdistrict of Pademangan, North Jakarta while the southern part lies on the Subdistrict of Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. Kemayoran is the location of annual Jakarta Fair.

Mulan Jameela led the nominations with three categories, followed by Agnes Monica, Indah Dewi Pertiwi, Syahrini, Afgan, RAN, etc. with two nominations. Gigi was the biggest winner of the night, taking home two awards for Outstanding Legend and Outstanding Video Clip for "Bye Bye".

Indah Dewi Pertiwi is an Indonesian singer, dancer, and artist. Her first single Baru Aku Tahu Cinta Itu Apa was a commercial success, and her first album Hipnotis released a few months later sold over 2 million copies 18 months after its official release through KFC stores in Indonesia. The Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI) named Hipnotis as the fastest selling CD album in Indonesia, and placed #5 on the list of Indonesian all time best selling albums.

Rini Fatimah Jaelani, known professionally as Syahrini, is an Indonesian singer, actress and entrepreneur. She spent her childhood in Sukabumi, and later earned a bachelor's degree in law from Pakuan University in Bogor. Her first album was My Lovely, released in 2008. Also in her discography is the song "Tatapan Cinta," which appeared on the compilation soundtrack album of the film Coklat Stroberi. Mainland China calls her by the Chinese name Zhang Jingling
