Novak Djokovic is a Serbian professional tennis player. Until the Dubai Open in February 2022, Djokovic had been ranked No. 1 for a record total 361 weeks, and has finished as ATP Year-End No. 1 for a record seven years. He has won 20 Grand Slam men's singles titles, including a record nine Australian Open titles. Overall, he has won 86 ATP singles titles, including a record 37 Masters events. Djokovic is the only man to complete a non-calendar year Grand Slam and the first man in the Open Era to achieve a double career Grand Slam. He is also the only player to complete the career Golden Masters on the ATP Tour, which he has done twice.
The Serbia Open is a professional tennis tournament. It is part of the ATP 250 tournaments for men, and the WTA 250 tournaments for women. Held in Belgrade, Serbia and played on outdoor clay courts, the event was held for the first time in 2009, from May 4–10. Djokovic reached the final of the US Open in an attempt to achieve the Grand Slam, but finished runner-up to Daniil Medvedev.
