A Simple Story (French : Une si simple histoire) is a 1970 Tunisian drama film directed by Abdellatif Ben Ammar. It was entered into the 1970 Cannes Film Festival. [1]
Halim is a 2006 Egyptian film about the Egyptian singer Abdel Halim Hafez. Production started in 2005 with Ahmed Zaki in the title role, but the actor died prior to the film's completion, so his son filled in several scenes. The film was released in July 2006 with Mona Zaki, Sulaf Fawakherji, directed by Sherif Arafa, written by Mahfouz Abd El-Rahman, music by Ammar El Sherei and produced by Good News 4 Film & Music Company. It participated out of the competition at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival.
Pirates is a 1986 adventure comedy film written by Gérard Brach, John Brownjohn, and Roman Polanski and directed by Polanski. It was inspired by Polanski's love of classic pirate films, as well as Disneyland's Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. Polanski began planning the film in 1976 as a follow up to the iconic Chinatown, but production was delayed several times due to lack of funding and Polanski's fleeing the United States to avoid rape allegations.
Sunday is a 1997 independent film directed by Jonathan Nossiter. Set in Queens, a borough of New York City, it is a dark comedy about an unemployed, homeless IBM functionary mistaken by an aging actress for film director Matthew Delacorta. The screenplay is an adaptation by Nossiter and James Lasdun of Lasdun's own short story "Ate, Memos or the Miracle". The two would later collaborate again on Signs & Wonders.

The Mystery of Picasso is a 1956 French documentary film directed by Henri-Georges Clouzot. In it, the painter Pablo Picasso produces 20 drawings and paintings, at first using inks that bleed through the paper on which he is drawing, with the act of creation filmed in real-time from the backside of the easel, and later using oil paints, with Clouzot employing a stop-motion-like effect to depict the development and modification of the works. The film begins with Picasso creating simple marker drawings in black and white, and he gradually progresses to full-scale collages and oil paintings.

It is an ode to the saffron flag of Marathas, calling on people to rise again against the foreign enemy. It competed for the Grand Prize of the Festival at the 1952 Cannes Film Festival.

Fruit of Paradise is a 1970 Czechoslovak avant-garde drama film directed by Věra Chytilová. It was entered into the 1970 Cannes Film Festival. The film is an adaptation of the Adam and Eve story. This was Chytilová's last film before she was placed on an eight-year ban by the Czechoslovak Government. Fellow Czech screenwriter and costume designer Ester Krumbachová collaborated with Chytilová on the screenplay, costumes, and decor.
