Der Weg nach oben is an East German political and economic documentary film directed by Andrew Thorndike. It was released in 1950, premiering on the eve of the first anniversary of the German Democratic Republic. Critically acclaimed, it won the Best Documentary Film at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 1951. The film was produced by DEFA Studio für Wochenschau und Dokumentarfilme. This was Thorndike's first feature-length film.

Nicole Heesters is a German actress. She was born in Potsdam and comes from a family of actors; her parents are Johannes Heesters, a Dutch-German actor, and Louise Ghijs, a Belgian stage actress. Her husband was film director Pit Fischer and one of her children, daughter Saskia Fischer, is also an actress. Nicole's older sister Wiesje (b. 1931) is a pianist in Vienna, Austria. Heesters lives in Hamburg.

205 – Room of Fear is a 2011 German horror film directed by Rainer Matsutani. It's a remake of the Danish film Room 205. The film stars Jennifer Ulrich. Marie-Alise Recasner recorded an original song for the ending credits as well as performed vocals on the score.

Der Hund von Baskerville is a 1914 German silent film adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle's 1902 novel The Hound of the Baskervilles, the first film adaptation of the work. According to the website silentera.com, the film was considered lost, but has been rediscovered; the Russian Gosfilmofond film archive possesses a print, while the Filmmuseum München has a 35mm positive print.

Dominik Graf is a German film director. He studied film direction at University of Television and Film Munich, from where he graduated in 1975.
