Gustavo Alfredo Santaolalla is an Argentine composer. He composed film scores for acclaimed director Alejandro González Iñárritu, composing the first four psychological drama films Iñárritu directed. He also composed the original scores for the video games The Last of Us (2013) and The Last of Us Part II (2020), as well as the themes for television series such as the American satirical romantic dramedy series Jane the Virgin (2014–2019), the MBC 4 satirical romantic dramedy series Miss Farah (2019–2022), an Arabic adaptation of Jane the Virgin, and Making a Murderer (2015–2018). He won Academy Awards for Best Original Score in two consecutive years, first for Brokeback Mountain (2005) and then Babel (2006).

The first of these, "Get It Right", was composed specifically for cast member Lea Michele, and the other, "Loser like Me", is a group number written with the Swedish songwriter Max Martin. Zachary Scott Poor is an American singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles, California who first appeared on the music scene in early 2010 with his EP, "Let's Just Call it Heartbreak", a collaboration with Glee producer Adam Anders. Universal Motown executive Sylvia Rhone took notice of Poor's talent and signed him to his first major label deal in early 2011. Rhone stepped down as President of Motown within months of signing Poor amidst a shakeup at the label. He and Universal parted ways shortly thereafter.

He founded Rock River Communications to introduce the concept of non-traditional music distribution into the retail marketplace.
