Ahmed Khan (born 3 June 1974) is an Indian choreographer, producer, director, and writer. After a period of acting, he has moved into film choreography, as well as writing, producing, and directing various Bollywood projects. In 2019, Khan also was on the judging panel of the celebrity dance show Nach Baliye 9 on Star Plus.

Life and career

Khan was born in Pune, Maharastra on 3 June 1974. He performed as a child actor in Mr. India before pursuing a career as a choreographer.

After Mr. India, Khan choreographed the films Taal , Ghajini , and Kick . During this period, he also directed Lakeer – Forbidden Lines , and worked on the comedy Fool n Final . He wrote and produced Paathshaala and Ek Paheli Leela . His latest directing venture, Baaghi 2 , was a success at the box office.

Khan served as judge on Dance India Dance Lil Master during its third season, and was popular among contestants, who referred to him as "Pappi King". [2] In 2019, he served as a judge on the ninth season of the reality competition show Nach Baliye .

Personal life

Ahmed Khan is married to model Shaira Khan, who is a producer with Paperdoll Entertainment. Together, they have produced the films Paathshaala and Ek Paheli Leela . The couple live in Andheri with their two sons, Azaan Khan and Subhaan Khan. [3]

Ahmed Khan has narrowly escaped death twice. The first time occurred while he was filming at the World Trade Center in New York City only two days before the September 11 attacks. His second brush with death happened in 2004, when he was set to stay at a hotel that was destroyed in the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. Khan had cancelled his reservation at the last minute. [4]

Baaghi 2 is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed as well as co-written by Ahmed Khan and produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The film, which is the second installment in Baaghi film series and a spiritual sequel to the 2016 film Baaghi, is a remake of the 2016 Telugu mystery film Kshanam. The film stars Tiger Shroff, Riteish Deshmukh and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles, with Ankita Lokhande, Jaideep Ahlawat, Vijay Varma, Jameel Khoury, Jackie Shroff, Satish Kaushik, Virendra Saxena and Manav Gohil in supporting roles.

Heropanti 2 is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language action film directed by Ahmed Khan, written by Rajat Arora and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The film serves as a sequel to the 2014 film Heropanti. It stars Tiger Shroff, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tara Sutaria. It was released on 29 April 2022.

Baaghi is a series of Indian Hindi-language action thriller films. All films in the series were produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment while the first film was distributed by UTV Motion Pictures and the second and third by Fox Star Studios. The first film, Baaghi, was released in 2016 and directed by Sabbir Khan and the second and third films, Baaghi 2 (2018) and Baaghi 3 (2020), are directed by Ahmed Khan. Baaghi 4 has also been announced and is in the production stage Tthe director for Baaghi 4 is yet to be announced. Baaghi 2 is the most successful film in the franchise to date, grossing over ₹258.05 crores worldwide.

Rahul Shetty is an Indian dancer and choreographer known for his dance numbers in Hindi cinema with best works in ABCD 2 (2015), A Flying Jatt (2016), Race 3 (2018), Baaghi 2 (2018), Zero (2018), Housefull 4 (2019), Street Dancer 3D (2020) and Heropanti 2 (2022). He has frequently worked with Tiger Shroff. He collaborated with Prabhu Deva in "Happy Hour" from ABCD 2 along with Paul Marshal and in Street Dancer 3D for "Muqabla 2.0". He in association with Kruti Mahesh, received Filmfare nominations for Best Choreography for the tracks "Illegal Weapon" and "Nachi Nachi" from Street Dancer 3D. Ahmad Khan and Remo D'Souza have been his mentors.
