American Telugu Association (ATA) is a non-profit organization of Telugu people living in North America. [1]

The primary purpose of the association is to assist and promote literary, cultural, religious, social, educational, economic, health and community activities of the people of Telugu origin as well as to promoting exchange programs for students, scientists, and professionals of Telugu origin between the United States of America, Canada, India and other countries. Kandukuri Veeresalingam Prophet of Modern Andhra Pradesh

Rao Bahadur Kandukuri Veeresalingam Pantulu was a social reformer and writer of Madras Presidency, British India. He is considered as the father of renaissance movement in Telugu. He was one of the early social reformers who encouraged women education, remarriage of widows which was not supported by the society during his time and fought against dowry system. He also started a school in Dowlaiswaram in 1874. He constructed a temple as 'Brahmo Mandir' in 1887 and the 'Hithakarini School' in 1908 in Andhra Pradesh. His novel Rajasekhara Charitramu is considered to be the first novel in Telugu literature.

Manish Malhotra is a former Indian Fashion designer turned costume designer and stylist, widely known for his works in Bollywood, Telugu cinema, Tamil cinema, Hollywood, and television. In 1998, he ventured into modelling and runway fashion designing with his couture Reverie-Manish Malhotra. He received appreciation for his glamorous ensembles using traditional colours, craftsmanship, textures and embroideries presented at his first runway show in November 1999. In 2005, he launched his couture label Manish Malhotra which offers bridal, couture, diffusion and men's wear collections and retails at two stores in Mumbai and New Delhi. The label also retails at multi-brand boutiques across India and in Dubai.

National Coalition Against Censorship non-profit organisation in the USA

The National Coalition Against Censorship (NCAC), founded in 1974, is an alliance of 50 American non-profit organizations, including literary, artistic, religious, educational, professional, labor, and civil liberties groups. NCAC is a New York-based organization with official 501(c)(3) status in the United States. The coalition works to defend freedom of thought, inquiry, and expression from censorship and threats of censorship through education and outreach, and direct advocacy. NCAC assists individuals, community groups, and institutions with strategies and resources for resisting censorship and creating a climate hospitable to free expression. S. S. Rajamouli Indian film director

Koduri Srisaila Sri Rajamouli, professionally known as S. S. Rajamouli, is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and stunt choreographer known for his works predominantly in the Telugu cinema. He is known for directing high fantasy action films such as Magadheera (2009) featured at the American Fantastic Fest, Eega (2012) winning Most Original Film at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival, Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) nominated for American Saturn Award for Best Fantasy Film, The second installment, The Conclusion (2017) winning the American Saturn Award for Best International Film, and the Australian Telstra People's Choice Award.

Kaikala Satyanarayana is a former TDP parliamentarian, film actor, producer and director in Telugu cinema. He was the jury member for South Region II at the 59th National Film Awards. He is the recipient of the 2011 Raghupathi Venkaiah Award and 2017 Filmfare Award, both of which awarded him for lifetime achievement in Telugu cinema.

The Telugu Malaysians or Malaysian Telugus, consists of people of full or partial Telugu descent who were born in or immigrated to Malaysia. Most of Malaysian Telugus today are 5th or 6th generation who migrated during the colonial period. While most of current Malaysian Telugu ancestors originated from what is now Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, substantial number of them originated from area of Orissa and Bengal state.
