Andy Adler is a bilingual sportscaster, journalist, and television personality who serves as evening sports anchor at CBS 11 (KTVT) and co-host of the Dallas Cowboys Pre- and Post-game shows for CBS. Adler was previously at WPIX [1] in New York and served as lead sports anchor and sports director, as well as host of the New York Yankees pre-game shows. She was previously a co-anchor of KNBC's Today in LA weekend edition and co-host of the Los Angeles Lakers pre-game, halftime, and post-game shows on Time Warner Cable SportsNet LA. Prior to that, she was a sports anchor for Fox in New York, WNYW. Adler is known as the first female sports director in a top market and the Emmy nominated interview segment, 'One on One with Andy Adler,' in collaboration with Sports Illustrated.

Career

Early work

Immediately following graduation from Stanford University, Adler knew she wanted to be a journalist, but did not know anyone in the industry. After graduating cum laude from Stanford, she applied to the NBC Page program in Burbank, California, and was admitted. She quickly moved up from giving tours of the NBC Lot to working in the KNBC news room as an editors assistant. Two months later, Adler got her first job on-air as a reporter for the NBC affiliate in Monterey, California, for one year.

While at NBC, Adler made an appearance on the NBC affiliate in San Francisco at the age of 20. Following that, she co-hosted the entertainment show Eye On The Desert for the CBS affiliate in Palm Springs. Simultaneously, she began hosting American Latino TV , a nationally syndicated, weekly magazine program focusing on American and foreign-born Latinos making a positive impact in American society.

Fox New York

Adler began working at WNYW (Fox 5 New York) as an evening sports anchor and fill-in host of Good Day New York . She was also the co-host of Sports Extra. She served as the field reporter for the New York Giants' pre-game and post-game shows at the station. She covered the Giants' remarkable run and subsequent win of Super Bowl 42, serving as the field reporter on location. Adler was also the traveling reporter for the New York Jets games airing on MY9 (sister station of WNYW).

While at Fox, Adler covered the Yankees' 2009 World Series Championship, the MLB All Star Game, and served as the host for the New York City Triathlon in 2008 and 2009. She also made appearances on the Fox Business Network. While in New York, Adler hosted Brazilian Day in front of an audience surpassing one million people, stretching across 6th Avenue and 42nd street to Central Park. She left Fox 5 in March 2010.

NBC LA (KNBC) and Los Angeles Lakers

In March 2010, it was announced that Adler was leaving WNYW to join KNBC in Los Angeles as Today in LA weekend co-anchor and weekday news reporter. She also hosted the weekly sports segment for Prime Time News LA. Adler also made appearances on MSNBC. She also hosted the Lakers pre-game, halftime, and post-game shows for the 2012–2013 season on Time Warner Cable SportsNet LA. [2] She hosted the shows with former NBA players James Worthy, Robert Horry, and Kurt Rambis. Adler also hosted Access SportsNet, a nightly, live, hour show dedicated to sports in Southern California.

CW New York (WPIX, Pix11 News)

In March, 2014, it was announced that Adler was returning to New York as the lead sports anchor for [3] Pix 11 News. She also served as host for PIX 11 Sports Desk. During her time at Pix 11, Adler has landed exclusive interviews with Magic Johnson, [4] Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, Pele, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kobe Bryant, Eli Manning, and many others. [5] [6] She also was the host of the Yankees pre-game shows airing on the network and served as a contributor to the YES Network.

Personal life

Adler made her film debut with a cameo appearance in Fast Five starring Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. She is a native Spanish speaker and a member of Mensa.

Adler works with [7] The World of Children. She served as host of their inaugural golf fundraiser and World of Children Awards Gala. Adler also works with the Children's Health Fund. She has served as host of their annual gala and presented at the charity's annual fundraiser with actress Julianne Moore and journalist Jane Pauley. Additionally, Adler has twice emceed the Thurman Munson Awards for the AHRC, the "Seeds of Hope Gala" for NAMI, Brazilian Day NYC, and 'the Beacon of Hope Luncheon' with Dak Prescott, in addition to countless other charities.

Good Day New York is a morning show airing on WNYW Fox 5, hosted by Rosanna Scotto and Bianca Peters. It is a Fox owned-and-operated television station in New York City, owned by the Fox Television Stations subsidiary of Fox Corporation. It was the first morning newscast to air on a Fox-owned station, having launched on August 1, 1988. The program broadcasts each weekday morning from 4:30 to 10 a.m. Eastern Time. The 4:30–7 a.m. portion is a general news/traffic/weather format. The 7-9 a.m. portion still features news, traffic and weather, but also incorporates entertainment news. He was the sports journalist, Sports Anchor for WNYW Fox 5 Good Day New York in New York City. He also was the host of Sports Extra on Sunday at 10:30 p.m. Before WNYW, he worked as a fill-in sports anchor and reporter at WHDH-TV, the now-former NBC affiliate in Boston. He also worked at WCBS-TV CBS 2 in New York, where he was the weekday morning sports anchor until 2006. His first New York job was hosting Sports on 1, a nightly call-in show, for the NY1 local network, beginning in 2000. He was a field reporter for ESPN's baseball coverage during the 2005 and 2006 seasons.

Frances Rivera is a Filipino-American journalist and television news anchor appearing on the overnight news program, Early Today on NBC. For ten years, until August 2011, she was a television reporter and anchor for Boston's NBC affiliate, WHDH. She then joined WPIX in New York City as a morning news anchor. In February 2014, she joined NBC News and MSNBC where she served as co-anchor with Thomas Roberts on MSNBC Live. airing weekdays from 1-3 p.m. ET.

Scott Stanford is a seven time Emmy award winning American entertainment host, news/sports anchor and commentator. Stanford is currently a studio Host for WWE and can also be seen co-hosting The Suki & Scott Show on digital and broadcast platforms.Scott can also be heard anchoring newscasts on 1010 WINS in NYC. Scott was also anchoring sports at CBS Sports HQ. Scott was recently the main sports anchor on PIX11 NY as well as co-host along with Sukanya Krishnan on the WPIX11 Morning Show. Along with Tamsen Fadal, he was co-anchor of WPIX-TV in New York City's weeknight 5pm and 10pm newscasts until July 2014. Stanford is also a host for This Week in WWE and Afterburn on the WWE Network. Scott can also be heard occasionally hosting on 77 WABC Radio in New York and doing stand up comedy for various charity organizations.

Kaitlin Monte is an American journalist who last worked for Fox-owned KRIV in Houston, TX.

Chloe Elizabeth Melas is an American journalist currently serving as an entertainment correspondent for NBC. She was previously a reporter for CNN from 2016 to 2023. Prior to her time at CNN, she was the senior entertainment reporter for Hollywood Life and the host of VH1's morning TV show The Gossip Table.
