Aski Baghdad (Persian : اسكي بغداد‎, also Romanized as Askī Baghdād; also known as Askalī Baghdād)^[1] is a village in Il Gavark Rural District, in the Central District of Bukan County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 325, in 61 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Il Gavark Rural District or Gawerk is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Bukan County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 5,798, in 919 families. The rural district has 22 villages that is homeland of Gawerk tribe.

The Central District of Bukan County is a district (bakhsh) in Bukan County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 177,236, in 37,525 families. The District has one city: Bukan. The District has four rural districts (dehestan): Akhtachi Rural District, Behi-e Feyzolah Beygi Rural District, Il Gavark Rural District, and Il Teymur Rural District.
