The Belgium national rugby sevens team participates in international rugby sevens competitions. In 2014, the team participated in the Sevens Grand Prix Series, attaining sixth place which is their best result. Belgium was relegated to the 2018 Rugby Europe Sevens Trophy after the 2017 Grand Prix.

The France Sevens, also called the Paris Sevens, is an annual international rugby sevens tournament that is one of ten competitions on the annual World Rugby Sevens Series. The France Sevens is generally held in May or June on the weekend following the London Sevens and is the last competition in the Sevens Series. France has also hosted tournaments within the European Sevens Grand Prix Series, often at Lyon.

The Italy national rugby sevens team has occasionally competed in the IRB Sevens World Series since the series' was introduced in 1999, although they do not participate in every leg. Their first ever points in the World Series came in 2003, when they scored four points in the Cardiff leg of the series. Italy also competes in the Rugby Europe Sevens Grand Prix Series each summer.

Germany national rugby sevens team

The German national rugby sevens team competes in the top-level European sevens competition, the Sevens Grand Prix Series. In 2012, Germany finished eleventh out of twelve teams and avoided relegation. The team also unsuccessfully took part in the 2013 Rugby World Cup Sevens qualifying tournament in Moscow in July 2012.

Ireland national rugby sevens team

The Ireland national rugby sevens team competes in several international rugby sevens competitions. The team is governed by the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU), and has been led by Head Coach Anthony Eddy since 2015.

Spain's national rugby sevens team is one of 15 core teams participating in all ten tournaments of the World Rugby Sevens Series, having qualified by winning the 2017 Hong Kong Sevens qualifier tournament. Spain participated as a core team in the 2012–13 IRB Sevens World Series, but was relegated the following season.

The Georgia national rugby sevens team is a minor national sevens side. Georgia plays every summer in the Rugby Europe Sevens Grand Prix Series. They have occasionally qualified to play in certain legs of the World Rugby Sevens Series, but they have never been a "core team" on the Sevens Series. Georgia has participated for qualifying for the Olympics, but has never qualified to play in the Olympics.

2012 FIRA-AER Sevens Grand Prix Series

2012 Sevens Grand Prix Series was the 11th round of the Sevens Grand Prix Series for rugby sevens organised by the FIRA – Association of European Rugby. The series was held in three phases hosted by France (Lyon), Russia (Moscow) and Denmark (Odense). The tournament was won by France, who defeated Portugal 21–12 in the final. England, winner of the first two phases of the tournament, were considered to be favourites but eliminated by France in the quarter-finals. England were the overall champions of the tournament.

The Rugby Europe Sevens are a series of rugby sevens tournaments held by Rugby Europe. It was formerly known as the FIRA-AER Sevens until 2013, and the Sevens Grand Prix Series until 2021. Only one annual tournament existed prior to 2011, when Rugby Europe created a series of tournaments, following the model of the World Rugby Sevens Series. The main division is known as the Rugby Europe Championship Series, formerly known the Grand Prix, followed by the Trophy Series, and Conference 1. The competitions use a promotion/relegation system.

2015 Rugby Europe Women's Sevens Olympic Repechage Tournament. Spain won the tournament and qualified for the 2016 Rugby World Women's Sevens Olympic Repechage Tournament along with runner-up Ireland and third place Portugal.

The 2015 Rugby Europe Sevens Olympic Repechage Tournament was held on 18–19 July in Lisbon to determine the three teams that joined Spain at the final Olympic qualifying tournament, made up of the eight non-qualified Grand Prix teams, the top three teams of Division A and the champion of Division B. Russia won the European tournament, and qualified for the 2016 Final Olympic Qualification Tournament along with runner-up Germany and third place Ireland.
