Ben Stewart McKinney (born 4 October 2004) is an English cricketer who plays for Durham County Cricket Club and is captain of the England under-19 cricket team. He is a left-handed batsman and a right-arm off break bowler.
McKinney played Seaham Harbour Cricket Club. He also played age-group cricket for Durham from under-11s. [1]
McKinney made his debut in the County Championship against Sussex in April 2023,and made 35 in his first innings. [2] He made his List A cricket debut for Durham on 1 August 2023,against Worcestershire. [3] On 4 August 2023 it was announced that McKinney had signed a two-year professional contract with Durham. [4]
Mckinney captained the Young Lions and England national under-19 cricket team that toured Australia in the winter of 2022–23. They secured a first Youth Test victory in Australia since 2003 and McKinney scored a 45-ball 70 in England's second innings. [5] In August 2023,he was announced as continuing in the captaincy of the England U19 team for the summer matches against Ireland and Australia. [6]

In 2009,Taylor also became the youngest player in Leicestershire's history to score 1,000 championship runs in a season. A promising talent in his 34 white-ball appearances for England,Taylor was forced into retirement at just 26 years of age due to a previously undiagnosed heart condition.

The 2020 Bob Willis Trophy was a first-class cricket tournament held in the 2020 English cricket season,and the inaugural edition of the Bob Willis Trophy. It was separate from the County Championship,which was not held in 2020 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom. The eighteen county cricket teams were split into three regional groups of six,with the two group winners with the most points advancing to a final held at Lord's. The maximum number of overs bowled in a day was reduced from 96 to 90,and the team's first innings could be no longer than 120 overs.
