Alberto Sermonia "Betong" Sumaya Jr. (born November 21, 1975) is a Filipino comedian, actor, and former production assistant for GMA Network, where he is also a part of the network's talent agency. Sumaya participated in the GMA reality show Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Doubles Showdown (2011), and became the eventual victor. He appears in GMA's longtime-running gag show Bubble Gang . Sumaya became one of the presenters of the longest running noontime show in the Philippines, Eat Bulaga! (now Tahanang Pinakamasaya!) in 2023.
Born and raised in Antipolo; he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Filipino and a minor in mass communication from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. [1] He joined the Probe Team as a production assistant and rose to ranks as an executive producer for several GMA News and Public Affairs programs. [2] Sumaya reprised his role as Antonietta in various GMA TV shows such as CelebriTV , Celebrity Bluff and Wowowin ; with Boobay and Donita Nose.
Sumaya was named as the second Celebrity Sole Survivor in the season, Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Doubles Showdown . The live announcement was held at the GMA Network Studio hosted by Richard Gutierrez on February 10. Betong made it to the Top 3 along with fellow castaways, Mara Yokohama and Stef Prescott. [3]
In 2023, after Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon (also known as TVJ) along with their co-hosts resigned due to a dispute with TAPE Inc. on May 31, Sumaya was tapped as one of the new hosts of the newly recreated Eat Bulaga! when the show returned live on June 5.

Probe Profiles is a Philippine documentary television show broadcast by ABS-CBN, GMA Network and ABC. Hosted by Cheche Lazaro, it premiered on March 6, 1987. The show concluded on June 30, 2010.
Eat Bulaga! is the Philippine longest-running noontime variety show currently broadcast on TV5 and simulcast on RPTV. Originally hosted by Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, collectively known as TVJ, with Chiqui Hollmann and Richie D'Horsie, the show premiered on July 30, 1979, at Radio Philippines Network. Eat Bulaga! is currently produced by TVJ Productions, Inc. and led by the Sotto brothers and De Leon with their co-hosts, Allan K., Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Ryan Agoncillo, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Maine Mendoza, Miles Ocampo, Carren Eistrup, and Atasha Muhlach, collectively known as “Legit Dabarkads".
Martina Eileen Hernandez delas Alas-Sibayan, known professionally as Ai-Ai delas Alas, is a Filipina singer, actress, and comedian. She is widely regarded as the country's "Queen of Comedy " of her generation for her comedic talent and best known for her role in the film Ang Tanging Ina (2003), which became a blockbuster hit. AlDub was a love team which originated from the Kalyeserye portion of the "Juan for All, All for Juan" segment of the variety show Eat Bulaga! "Tamang Panahon" is a special episode of Eat Bulaga! as well as the 87th episode of its "Kalyeserye" portion. The episode is also a benefit concert that was aired lived on television in the Philippines and other countries on October 24, 2015 from the Philippine Arena without any commercial breaks. "Tamang Panahon" highlighted the no-restrictions meeting of the AlDub love team of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza. The tickets of the concert were sold out after three days of the announcement of the concert and all of the ticket sales, which amounted to ₱14 million, was for the construction of AlDub libraries that benefited schools in the Philippines and the Lumads.
Tahanang Pinakamasaya! is a 2024 Philippine television variety show broadcast by GMA Network. Directed by Moty Apostol, it is hosted by Alexa Miro, Arra San Agustin, Betong Sumaya, Buboy Villar, Cassy Legaspi, Chariz Solomon, Dasuri Choi, Glaiza de Castro, Isko Moreno, Kimpoy Feliciano, Kokoy de Santos, Mavy Legaspi, Michael Sager, Paolo Contis, Winwyn Marquez and Yasser Marta, with performances from Music Hero Band and BPop Idols. It premiered on January 6, 2024 on the network's afternoon line up replacing Eat Bulaga!.
