"Blaze" is the sixth studio album by American punk rock band Lagwagon,which was released in 2003.
Lagwagon recorded with Ryan Greene in March 2002. [2] While on the 2002 Warped Tour, the band handed out promo samplers that included two songs from the album, "Dinner and a Movie" and "Never Stops". [3] [4] In September, the band were writing material for their next album, which they spent November recording. [5] [6]
The album marked their first studio release in the five years since Let's Talk About Feelings . The absence was due to frontman Joey Cape being involved with band projects like Bad Astronaut and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. Lagwagon did not completely disband during that time, and briefly reunited in 2002.
On December 25, 2002, Blaze was announced for release in April 2003. [7] On March 17, 2003, the album's artwork and track listing was posted online. [8] Two days later, "Falling Apart" was posted on the label's website. [9] Blaze was released on April 8, 2003, through Fat Wreck Chords. [7] In April and May 2003, the band embarked on a headlining US tour, with Avoid One Thing and Yellowcard. [10] [11] [12] On May 31 and June 1, the band held one-off shows that were recorded as part of the Live in a Dive series. [13] In August and September, the band toured across Europe, which included appearances at the Reading and Leeds Festivals, and four shows as part of the Reconstruction Festival. [14]

Let's Talk About Leftovers is an album consisting of a compilation of unreleased, B-sides and rare songs by Lagwagon, originally released on February 8, 2000 on Joey Cape's now defunct My Records label. It was re-released on August 27, 2002 by Fat Wreck Chords. Most of the album's tracks were later re-released in 2011 on the box set Putting Music In Its Place which contained remastered versions of Lagwagon's first five albums. The b-sides and rare tracks - along with other previously unreleased material - were assorted to their respective album.

Records. Following a meeting with Rob Cavallo, he was enlisted as the producer for the album. Derrick William Plourde was an American drummer, musician and artist. Born in Goleta, California, he was active from 1989 until his death in 2005. Although best known as a former member of Lagwagon, Plourde also played in several different bands like Bad Astronaut, Jaws, The Ataris, Mad Caddies and Rich Kids on LSD, among others. Besides drums, he played guitar and was described as a multi-instrumentalist. Aside from music, he was known as a skilled painter and gifted carpenter, and appreciated for his off-beat sense of humor. After a long battle with drug addiction, Plourde died by suicide on March 30, 2005.

The song "Drag" was originally released in 2011 in an acoustic version on frontman Joey Cape's solo album Doesn't Play Well with Others. In February and March 2015, the band performed at Soundwave festival in Australia.
