Bob LaMonte is an American sports agent who works primarily with National Football League coaches and executives. He is the founder and president of Professional Sports Representation, Inc. Early on LaMonte also represented college coaches and Major League Baseball and NFL players. In 2018, included in his fifty-one clients represented were eight NFL head coaches and eight NFL general managers. [1] In 2020, LaMonte represented three of the Top Ten NFL's Highest Paid Coaches according to sportingnews.com. [2] Thus far LaMonte has negotiated over $3 billion in coaching contracts throughout his 40-plus year career and has been regarded as one of the most powerful coaching agents in the NFL, whose negotiations have helped change the pay-scales of the NFL coach. Biography

LaMonte graduated from the Santa Clara University in 1968. [4] He was a nose tackle on the varsity football team in 1964 and 1965. [5] In 1970, he received a master's degree in diplomatic history from San Jose State University. Lamonte taught history at Oak Grove High School until 1973, and moved on to teach at Santa Teresa High School until 1992. He was part of the coaching staff of the football programs at both schools. In 1981, one of his former students, Rich Campbell, asked him to represent him as Campbell would go on to be selected in the first round of the 1981 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. [6] He would represent former San Francisco Bay Area athletes including Dave Stieb, Robin White, Mervyn Fernandez, and Nick Vanos. On March 8, 1985, LaMonte negotiated the longest baseball contract at the time with the Toronto Blue Jays for Stieb. [7] In 1992, Mike Holmgren asked LaMonte to represent him to negotiate a deal for the heading coaching position for the Green Bay Packers. [8] He retired from teaching that year, and moved on to focus on representing NFL coaches, and would help expand the role of NFL head coaches by also being involved in personnel decisions. Already the head football coach of the Philadelphia Eagles since 1999, LaMonte negotiated a contract to expand the duties of his client, Andy Reid, to become executive VP of football operations. [9]

They procure and negotiate employment and endorsement contracts for the athlete or coach whom they represent. In addition to contract negotiations, sports agents may also help their clients with financial planning, legal issues, and marketing. They may work closely with financial advisors, lawyers, and marketing professionals on behalf of their clients.

Jon David Gruden is an American professional football coach who is an advisor for the Milano Seamen of the European League of Football. He held his first head coaching position with the Raiders franchise during their Oakland tenure from 1998 to 2001, where he won two consecutive division titles and made an AFC Championship Game appearance. Gruden was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2002, which he led to their first Super Bowl title in Super Bowl XXXVII the same season. At age 39, he was the then-youngest head coach to win the Super Bowl. He served as Tampa Bay's head coach through 2008, setting the franchise record for wins, but made only two further playoff runs. After his firing from the Buccaneers, Gruden was featured as an analyst for ESPN's Monday Night Football broadcasts from the 2009 to the 2017 seasons.

He served as the head coach of the Green Bay Packers from 1992 to 1998, where he won Super Bowl XXXI, and of the Seattle Seahawks from 1999 to 2008. His last role in the NFL was as team president of the Cleveland Browns from 2010 to 2012. Prior to his career in the NFL, Holmgren coached football at the high school and collegiate levels.

Michael Lance "Mike" Trope, is a Los Angeles based trial lawyer and former sports agent for over 200 NFL players. Trope was a sports agent from the time he was a 21-year-old senior at University of Southern California, USC, in 1972 until he retired from the business in 1985. Subsequently, after Trope's graduation from Loyola Law School, he was admitted to practice law in California in 1987. As an agent for football stars, Trope was known for negotiating record breaking contracts in the 1970s, including the first million dollar package for an NFL rookie. This caused many publications to refer to Trope, still in his 20s, as a Super Agent by 1977, as well as "Whiz Kid" and "LA's Boy Wonder". Trope is the son of legendary Los Angeles Trial lawyer and philanthropist, Sorrell Trope.

Richard Bisaccia is an American football coach who is the assistant head coach and special teams coordinator for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as an assistant coach for the Dallas Cowboys, San Diego Chargers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and was an interim head coach for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021, leading the Raiders to the playoffs in his lone season.
