Since the early 1970s, Brittany has experienced a tremendous revival of its folk music. Along with flourishing traditional forms such as the bombard-biniou pair and fest-noz ensembles incorporating other additional instruments, it has also branched out into numerous subgenres.

"Mná na hÉireann" is a poem written by Ulster poet Peadar Ó Doirnín (1704–1796), most famous as a song, and especially set to an air composed by Seán Ó Riada (1931–1971). As a modern song, Mná na hÉireann is usually placed in the category of Irish rebel music; as an eighteenth-century poem it belongs to the genre which imagines Ireland as a generous, beautiful woman suffering the depredations of an English master on her land, her cattle, or her self, and which demands Irishmen to defend her, or ponders why they fail to. The poem also seems to favour Ulster above the other Irish provinces. Ó Doirnín was part of the distinctive Airgíalla tradition of poetry, associated with southern Ulster and north Leinster; in this poem he focuses on Ulster place-names, and he sees the province as being particularly assaulted. This may be because, besides being the poet's home, until the success of the Plantation of Ulster the province had been the most militantly Gaelic of the Irish provinces in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.

Tri Martolod or Tri Martolod Yaouank, is a traditional Breton song which dates to the 18th century in Lower Brittany. It was made famous by the interpretation, the arrangement and the recordings made by the Breton harpist Alan Stivell, in the 1970s.
Suite Sud-Armoricaine is a bawdy Breton song in Breton, popularized by Alan Stivell in the 1970s. It is the only song in Breton ever to make the number one chart spot on French radio Europe 1. The lyrics are from the Pardon Speied date from 1950s and they are in the public domain because the author is unknown. The song is originally a traditional Breton musical air.
La Jument de Michao or Le Loup, le Renard et la Belette is a recent (1973) Breton adaptation of two different Western French traditional songs, also found in Brittany, the original one may be a medieval French song of Burgundy origin: J'ai vu le loup, le renard, le lièvre. The integration in the Breton patrimony was made under the shape of a song deduct typical of Upper Brittany (Gallo), but in other French regions too. The music dances on the rhythm of the An dro (Gwened), one of the most known Breton round dances.
The Festival de Cornouaille is an annual festival taking place in the city of Quimper, located in the south-west of Brittany (France) in July. The festival has been held since 1923 and is one of the biggest cultural events in Brittany.
Un peu de nous is a primarily French-language compilation album by Canadian singer Celine Dion, released by Columbia Records on 21 July 2017 in France and on 28 July 2017 in Belgium Wallonia. The 3-CD set includes studio versions of songs performed by Dion during her 2017 tour on two discs, and also instrumental versions of selected tracks on the third disc. The title Un peu de nous was taken from the "Encore un soir" song lyrics. The album topped the chart in France and was certified Gold. It also reached number six in Belgium Wallonia.
