Club Deportivo Sula is a Honduran football club based on La Lima, Honduras.
They were promoted to first division in 1984–85, the next season they bought Juventud Morazanica's franchise and changed their name to Juventud de Sula. In 1986–87 they changed their name back to just Sula and stayed like that until they were relegated in 1990–91.
In 2011, Sula reemerged in Liga de Ascenso (just like Honduras-Progreso), causing happiness amongst old fans in La Lima. They immediately won their first game against Villanueva F.C. [1]
Before the beginning of the professional league, Sula won an amateur title in 1950–51. [2]

Liga Betcris de Honduras is the highest division of football in Honduras. The league season is divided into Opening (autumn) and Closing (spring). One team is relegated to the Liga de Ascenso and one team is promoted from Liga de Ascenso. The top four clubs participate in play-offs to decide the champion. The 2015–16 Honduran Cup was the 11th staging of the Honduran Cup and the second edition as Copa Presidente. Olimpia were the defending champions. The cup was a creation of the Honduran government funded by money allocated to national security fund. Its purpose was to support the growth of sport to detract the youth from vices and to promote national tourism for rural towns.
