KGO is a commercial radio station licensed to San Francisco, California. It is one of two Talk radio stations in the San Francisco Bay Area owned by Cumulus Media. The other is 560 KSFO. While KSFO airs mostly nationally syndicated talk hosts, KGO runs mostly local hosts on weekdays. KGO operates with 50,000 watts, the highest power permitted AM radio stations by the Federal Communications Commission. But it uses a directional antenna to protect the other Class A station on 810 kHz, WGY in Schenectady, New York. Most nights, using a good radio, KGO can be heard throughout the Western United States east to the Rocky Mountains, and in Northern Mexico, Western Canada and Alaska.
KGO-TV, virtual channel 7, is an ABC owned-and-operated television station licensed to San Francisco, California, United States and serving the San Francisco Bay Area. The station is owned by the ABC Owned Television Stations subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. KGO-TV's studios are located at the ABC Broadcast Center immediately west of The Embarcadero north of the city's Financial District, and its transmitter is located atop Sutro Tower. In addition, KGO-TV leases part of its building to MyNetworkTV affiliate KRON-TV, but with completely separate operations.
KNTV, virtual channel 11, branded on-air as NBC Bay Area, is an NBC owned-and-operated television station licensed to San Jose, California, United States and serving the San Francisco Bay Area. Owned by the NBC Owned Television Stations subsidiary of NBCUniversal, it is part of a duopoly with Telemundo owned-and-operated station KSTS, also licensed to San Jose; it is also sister to regional sports networks NBC Sports Bay Area and NBC Sports California. KNTV and KSTS share studios on North 1st Street in the North San Jose Innovation District; KNTV's transmitter is located on San Bruno Mountain.
KPIX-TV, virtual channel 5, is a CBS owned-and-operated television station licensed to San Francisco, California, United States and serving the San Francisco Bay Area. Owned by the CBS Television Stations subsidiary of ViacomCBS, it is part of a duopoly with CW owned-and-operated station KBCW, also licensed to San Francisco. Both stations share studios at Broadway and Battery Street, just north of San Francisco's Financial District, while KPIX's transmitter is located atop Sutro Tower. In addition to KBCW, KPIX shares its building with formerly co-owned radio stations KCBS, KFRC-FM, KGMZ, KITS, KLLC and KRBQ, although they use a different address number for Battery Street.

Kevin "The Rat" Radich was the weekday afternoon sports reporter on KGO AM 810, in San Francisco. He joined KGO in early 2007, after a year of work as a weekend sports anchor for KCBS 740 AM radio. His wife, Kim Wonderley, works at KCBS as the morning traffic anchor. On June 21, 2015 Ben Fong-Torres' column Radio Waves in the San Francisco Chronicle reported that Radich had been fired by KGO. Radich was honored with an APTRA Mark Twain Award in January 2009. The competition covered California, Nevada, Hawaii, Arizona, New Mexico, Washington, Idaho, Colorado, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, and Alaska. Judging took place at The Associated Press Bureau in Downtown Los Angeles with a panel of leading broadcast journalists that considered hundreds of entries from the 2008 calendar year.

The KTLA 5 Morning News is an American morning television news program airing on KTLA, a CW-affiliated television station in Los Angeles, California owned by the Nexstar Media Group. The program broadcasts each weekday morning from 4 a.m. to 12 p.m. Pacific Time. The 4-7 a.m. portion is a general news/traffic/weather format; the 7 a.m.-12 p.m. portion also features news, traffic and weather, but emphasizes entertainment and other light-hearted stories. Weekend editions of the program also air on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 6-11 a.m.

Linda Yu is a Chinese-American former news anchor and author. Yu is best known as co-anchor on the Eyewitness newscast for WLS-TV in Chicago, Illinois from April 1984 until November 2016. Yu became Chicago's first Asian–American broadcast journalist when she began her news career in Chicago at WMAQ-TV in 1979. For her broadcasting work, Yu has received a total of five local Emmy Awards including one for her report examining the aftermath of 9/11 in 2001. In 1984, Yu was honored with a National Gold Medal from the National Conference of Community and Justice for her documentary, "The Scars of Belfast".
