Cootehill Celtic is a Gaelic games club from County Cavan in Ireland. It is affiliated to Cavan GAA. It fields teams at every age group in both Gaelic football and hurling and is the only dual club in county Cavan. The Club has recently registered with the LGFA and now has Girls from U-8 to U-14 teams.
The club was founded in 1894 by a number of emigrants who returned from Scotland to their home town of Cootehill upon their retirement. They named the club Cootehill Celtic after Glasgow Celtic FC which had been formed by a Marist priest from County Mayo called Brother Walfrid in 1888. Both clubs wear the same colours and fly the tricolour at home games.[ citation needed ]
Traditionally Cootehill Celtic have always worn green and white hooped jerseys.

The Cavan Senior Hurling Championship is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association competition between the top hurling clubs in Cavan. The winners of the Cavan Championship qualify to represent their county in the Ulster Club Championship, the winners of which go on to the All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship. This championship has never been played on a consistent basis, and has frequently not been completed. In 2010, Mullahoran won the title for the 21st successive year. That run of victories was ended in 2011 when Ballymachugh beat Mullahoran in the final. In 2017, Mullahoran won their first title in four years with a win over Cootehill on a scoreline of 4–19 to 0–05. Cootehill are the current champions, having won the 2022 championship title.

Killoe Young Emmets is a Gaelic Football and Ladies' Gaelic football club based in Killoe, County Longford, Ireland. The club is also referred to by the Irish 'Emmet Óg' or by 'Killoe Emmet Óg'. Organised Gaelic Games in the Parish of Killoe can trace its origins back to 1889 with the foundation of the Killoe Erins Pride club. Following a long period of no competition in Longford during the 1890's and early 1900's, the GAA re-emerged in Killoe in late 1903 under the name Killoe Young Emmets and the club competed in Senior Football Championship in 1904, the first such championship held since 1891. Killoe Young Emmets has won 14 Longford Senior Football Championship titles and 1 Longford Senior Hurling Championship title and has thriving Underage and Ladies (Killoe) sections.
The 2021–22 All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship was the 18th staging of the All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's junior inter-county club hurling tournament. It will be the first club championship to be completed in two years as the 2020-21 series was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The championship began on 14 November 2021 and ended on 5 February 2022.
The 2023–24 All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship is the 20th staging of the All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's junior inter-county club hurling tournament. The draws for the respective provincial championships took place at various stages. The championship is scheduled to run from 28 October 2023 to January 2024.
