Damaru Ko Dandibiyo is 2018 [1] Nepalese drama sport film directed by Chhetan Gurung, and written by Khagendra Lamichhane. [2] The film is produced by Binod Gurung, and Norbu Tshering Ghale under the banner of Sambridhi Entertainment. The film stars Khagendra Lamichhane, Anup Baral, Menuka Pradhan, Budhhi Tamang, Ankeet Khadka, Aashant Sharma and Laxmi Bardewa in the lead roles. [3] [4]

Plot

Damaru (Khagendra Lamichhane) comes to his village to revive the old forgotten sport Dandi Biyo. His father Yogendra (Anup Baral), a former Dandi Biyo player opposes the idea of reviving the game.

Jai Bhole is 2018 Nepalese drama romance film, directed by Ashok Sharma and written by Khagendra Lamichhane. The film is produced by Kiran Sharma, Kriti Sharma, and Ankit Sharma under the banner of AA Group of Companies. The film stars Khagendra Lamichhane, Saugat Malla, Swastima Khadka, Buddhi Tamang, and Salon Basnet in the lead roles.

Chhetan Gurung was a Nepalese film director and writer known for his work in Nepali cinema. He has written scripts for Nepali films including November Rain (2014), Classic (2016), A Mero Hajur 3 (2019), and Prem Geet 3. Gurung debuted as a director from Damaru Ko Dandibiyo (2018), his last film, Prem Geet 3 which he directed in 2019 that will be released posthumously. He died from liver problems on 9 September 2020.

Padmashree Sahitya Puraskar is an annual literary prize in Nepali literature, presented by Khemlal-Harikala Lamichhane Samaaj Kalyan Pratisthan. The award is given to a book that has provided a great contribution in the field of Nepali literature. This award is given alongside Padmashree Sadhana Samman.

The first Gandaki Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2017 provincial elections. 60 members were elected to the assembly, 36 of whom were elected through direct elections and 24 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system. The term of the assembly started on 4 February 2018 and ended in September 2022.
