Daniella Sarahyba Fernandes (born 8 July 1984) is a Brazilian model. She appeared in every edition of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue from 2005 to 2010. [1]

Early life

Sarahyba was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and her mother, Mara Lúcia Sarahyba, was also a model in Brazil. [2] When she was three days old, she appeared with her mother on the cover of Brazilian parenting magazine Pais & Filhos. [3] Sarahyba began entering modeling contests at age 12.

Career

She worked for the Victoria's Secret brand and posed for the swimsuit edition of the North American magazine Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. [1]

In addition to her Sports Illustrated shoots, she was the subject of several Joanne Gair body painting projects in these editions. [4] [5]

Sarahyba has worked for GAP, Versace, [6] Olympus, Peugeot, Calzedonia, Maidenform and Michael Stars and is contracted under H&M, Spiegel and Benetton. [1] [7]

Personal life

She married businessman Wolff Klabin (of Klabin paper industries) in 2007. [8] They have two daughters. [9]

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is published annually by American magazine Sports Illustrated and features female fashion models, celebrities and athletes wearing swimwear in various locales around the world. She is considered the first Brazilian top model and is best known for her work with Jean Paul Gaultier, who immortalized her silhouette in his first perfume, "Classique" in a 2002 ad. The Ema Gordon Klabin Cultural Foundation is an art museum located in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. Officially established in 1978, it is a not-for-profit private institution, legally declared as an organization of federal public interest. It was created by the Brazilian collector and philanthropist Ema Gordon Klabin (1907–1994), with the purpose of preserving and displaying her art collection, as well as promoting cultural, artistic and scientific activities. The foundation is headquartered in Ema's former house in Jardins district, specially designed by architect Alfredo Ernesto Becker in the 1950s to hold her collection. The house is surrounded by a 4,000 square meters garden projected by Brazilian landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx.
