DrChrono is an American digital health technology company that provides software and billing services on a platform of web- and cloud-based apps for doctors and patients. The company is based in Sunnyvale, California.
DrChrono was founded in New York City in 2009 by Daniel Kivatinos and Michael Nusimow. [1] [2] The company spent time in the Rose Tech Ventures incubator in New York City before moving to Silicon Valley to join Y Combinator. [2] [3] Nusimow, a computer engineer, created the program with the intention of streamlining patient-doctor visits. [4] In February 2011, DrChrono launched as an EHR app for the iPad, [5] [6] allowing doctors to complete tasks and access information without needing to use paper records.
