Embassy of Lithuania in London is the diplomatic mission of Lithuania in the United Kingdom. [1]

Contents

Originally based in Gloucester Place in Marylebone, the Embassy moved to its current location in Bessborough Gardens, Pimlico in 2011. [2] The Bessborough Gardens embassy is also the base of Lithuania's missions to the Sultanate of Oman, the African Union, the Republic of Ethiopia and Portugal. [3]

In May 2016 Lithuania, also opened an honorary consulate situated in the historic building of Ingress Abbey, Greenhithe, Kent. [4]

There was an embassy of the Ottoman Empire in London dating from 1793; this was suspended in 1914 following the outbreak of the First World War and replaced by the embassy of the new Republic of Turkey in 1924. From 1901-1954 the embassy was located at 69 Portland Place before moving to its current location; however this building was kept and is currently used as the Ambassador's Residence.
