Franco "Frank" Nsubuga (born 28 August 1980 in Uganda) is a Ugandan cricketer. A right-handed batsman and off spin bowler, [1] he has played for the Uganda national cricket team since 2001. [2] His matches include seven first-class matches [3] and fifty-two List A matches. [4]
Nsubuga made his international debut playing for East and Central Africa in the 1997 ICC Trophy [5] when aged just 16. [1] He played for Uganda in the 2001 tournament. [5] His first-class debut came in April 2004 against Namibia in the ICC Intercontinental Cup. [3] Uganda won the match, with Nsubuga being named man of the match. [6] He also played against Kenya later in the year. He again played against Kenya and Namibia in the 2005 ICC Intercontinental Cup. [3] He made his List A debut in 2005, representing Uganda at the 2005 ICC Trophy. [4]
He has continued to play in the Ugandan team and represented them in Division Three of the World Cricket League in Darwin, Australia in 2007. Uganda won the tournament, with Nsubuga named man of the match in the final against Argentina after scoring 55 from 38 balls and taking 4/27. [7]
In April 2018, he was named in Uganda's squad for the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Four tournament in Malaysia. [8] In July 2018, he was part of Uganda's squad in the Eastern sub region group for the 2018–19 ICC World Twenty20 Africa Qualifier tournament. [9]
In September 2018, he was named in Uganda's squad for the 2018 Africa T20 Cup. [10] [11] The following month, he was named in Uganda's squad for the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Three tournament in Oman. [12]
In May 2019, he was named in Uganda's squad for the Regional Finals of the 2018–19 ICC T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier tournament in Uganda. [13] [14] [15] He made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for Uganda against Botswana on 20 May 2019. [16] In July 2019, he was one of twenty-five players named in the Ugandan training squad, ahead of the Cricket World Cup Challenge League fixtures in Hong Kong. [17] In November 2019, he was named in Uganda's squad for the Cricket World Cup Challenge League B tournament in Oman. [18]
In November 2021, he was named in Uganda's squad for the Regional Final of the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier tournament in Rwanda. [19] In May 2022, he was named in Uganda's side for the 2022 Uganda Cricket World Cup Challenge League B tournament. [20]
Charles Waiswa is a Ugandan cricketer who played in the 2005 ICC Trophy in Ireland. He spent a short period of time in the Nottinghamshire Premier Cricket league at Killamarsh Juniors Cricket Club in England.
Roger Galwanao Mukasa is a Ugandan international cricketer. Mukasa bats and bowls right-handed and also occasionally plays as a wicket-keeper. He has represented Uganda in first-class, List A and Twenty20 cricket. His shirt number is 37. He played in the 2006 U-19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka.
Emmanuel Isaneez is a Ugandan cricketer who played in the 2005 ICC Trophy in Ireland. In May 2019, he was named in Uganda's squad for the Regional Finals of the 2018–19 ICC T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier tournament in Uganda. He made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for Uganda against Botswana on 20 May 2019.

Hamu Kayondo is a Ugandan cricketer. He made his List A cricket debut in the 2015 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament for Uganda against Canada on 24 January 2015.
Arnold Otwani is a Ugandan cricketer. He played one List A match in December 2010 for Uganda, during their tour of Kenya. He played for Uganda in the 2017 ICC World Cricket League Division Three tournament in May 2017.
The 2018–19 ICC T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier was the tournament played as part of qualification process for the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup.

Dinesh Nakrani is an Indian-born cricketer who represents the Uganda cricket team. He is an all-rounder who bats left-handed and bowls left-arm medium pace. He made his international debut for Uganda in 2018, having previously played for Saurashtra in Indian domestic cricket.

The 2021–22 Uganda Tri-Nation Series, also known as the Pearl of Africa T20I Series, was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament that was held in Uganda in September 2021. The participating teams were the hosts Uganda, along with Kenya and Nigeria. The tournament was originally planned to consist of 13 T20I matches, with the sides facing each other four times in a round-robin stage, followed by a final between the top two teams. The round-robin was later reduced by three matches with each team facing each other three times. The tournament provided preparation for all sides ahead of T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier events took place in October and November 2021.
The 2023 Continent Cup T20 Africa was a men's Twenty20 Intertnational (T20I) cricket tournament that was played in Nairobi, Kenya, in June 2023. The tournament was organised by the International League T20. The participating teams were Kenya, Botswana, Rwanda and Uganda. The tournament was to be contested as a single round-robin followed by semi-finals and a final, but this was changed to a double round-robin and a final after the withdrawal of Nigeria, and later to a triple round-robin and final after the withdrawal of Tanzania. All of the matches were played at the Gymkhana Club Ground.
