Glenn Caruso (born May 20, 1974) is an American football coach. He is the head football coach at the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota, a position he had held since the 2008 season. Caruso served as the head football coach at Macalester College from 2006 to 2007. He has been awarded the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year Award for NCAA Division III three times: 2010, 2011 and 2012. [1] [2]

In his first season at St. Thomas, in 2008, Caruso led the Tommies to a 7–3 record after the team had finished 2–8 the previous year.

After guiding the 2015 Tommies to the NCAA Division III Football Championship Game with a 14–1 record, Caruso was voted by his peers as the Division III National Coach of the Year by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA). It was Caruso's 6th national coach of the year award, the most of any active NCAA Division III football coach.

During 2021 Caruso led St. Thomas' unprecedented leap from Division III to Division I. In the school's first year at Division I, St. Thomas posted a 7–3 record and finished 3rd in the Pioneer League. In 2022, the 2nd season of being a Division 1 program, 17 months into the transition, Caruso led St. Thomas to an undefeated conference championship, the university's first ever in any sport in its Division 1 era.

From 1949 to 1952, he was the head football coach at Carroll College in Helena, Montana. With a career record of 489–138–11, Gagliardi has the most wins of any coach in college football history. Chizik's 2010 Auburn Tigers football team completed a 14–0 season with a victory over Oregon in the BCS National Championship Game, and quarterback Cam Newton won the Heisman Trophy. Chizik played college football at the University of Florida in 1981 for head coach Charley Pell.

Rob Ambrose is an American college football coach. From 2009 to 2022, he was head coach of the Towson Tigers football team of Towson University. Christopher R. Olean is a baseball coach and former pitcher, who is the current head baseball coach of the St. Thomas (MN) Tommies. He played college baseball at St. Thomas (MN) where he played for head coach Dennis Denning from 1996 to 1999 before playing professionally from 1999 to 2001.

The 2022 St. Thomas Tommies football team represented the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota as a member of the Pioneer Football League (PFL) during the 2022 NCAA Division I FCS football season. Led by 14th-year head coach Glenn Caruso, the Tommies compiled an overall record of 10–1 with a mark of 8–0 in conference play, winning the PFL title. St. Thomas was ineligible for the NCAA Division I Football Championship playoffs due to the program's transition from NCAA Division III. Davidson received the PFL's automatic bid to the playoffs. The Tommies played home games at O'Shaughnessy Stadium in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
