Holly Jean Manthei (born February 8, 1976) is an American retired soccer midfielder-forward and former member of the United States women's national soccer team.
Manthei was born in Edina, Minnesota, and grew up in nearby Burnsville. She attended Burnsville High School where she led the team to two consecutive state soccer championships and three straight championship appearances. Manthei was a three-time all-state performer in soccer while earning the same honor in track twice and basketball once. She was also a member of Burnsville's 1992 state championship basketball squad and won the state title in the 300-meter hurdles in track and field in 1993. In 1994, she was named a Parade High School All-American. [2] She was named one of the first 20 members of the Burnsville High School Hall of Fame that were inducted during the school's 50th anniversary celebration in August 2006. [3]
During her first year, she earned consensus second-team All American honors and led the nation in assists with 30, the second highest single-season mark in women's college history. She had had eight multiple-assist games and scored a point in 21 of 25 games. She finished the season first-team all-Midwestern Collegiate Conference, all-newcomer and newcomer of the year. [2]
As a sophomore, she led the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to a National Championship. She was named First-team Soccer News and First-team NSCAA All-American, as well as Soccer America's Collegiate MVP team. She was a finalist for national player of the year awards and led the nation for a second season with 21 assists. [2]
As a junior, she started all 21 games and was named to the NSCAA All American third-team. She led the nation with 44 assists, the highest single-season mark in women's college soccer history breaking Mia Hamm's mark of 33 set in 1992. Making its third straight appearance in the NCAA championship game, the Irish lost 0-1 to the North Carolina Tar Heels. [2]
During her senior year, Manthei captained the Fighting Irish, helping her team to their fourth consecutive NCAA tournament. She was a finalist for the Hermann Trophy and Missouri Athletic Club Player of the Year Award and ended her college career with the all-time NCAA assist NCAA record with 129 and tied for NCAA career playoff assists with nine. Manthei played for the United States women's national soccer team from 1995–1996. She made her first appearance for the senior national team on February 24, 1995, in a match against Denmark. [2] In 1995, she was part of the team that won bronze at the Women's World Cup. [4] [5] [6] She earned a total of 21 international caps.
Kathryn Michele Markgraf is the General Manager of the United States women's national soccer team and a retired American professional soccer defender. She previously played for the Chicago Red Stars in the WPS, the Boston Breakers in the WUSA, and the United States women's national soccer team. She was a three-time Olympic medalist and played in three FIFA Women's World Cup tournaments. She started in 97% of her 201 United States Women's National Team appearances in her 12-year career. She ended her career with a high school championship, state club championship, NCAA Division I championship, Olympic gold medals, and a FIFA World Cup Championship.
Catherine Reddick Whitehill is an American retired professional soccer defender, who was also an assistant coach of the Boston Breakers in the NWSL. Whitehill last played for the Boston Breakers in 2015 and previously played for the Washington Freedom and the Atlanta Beat in the WPS as well as the United States women's national soccer team from 2000 to 2010. On November 28, 2012, while serving as a television commentator for a match between USA and Republic of Ireland, Whitehill expressed an interest in working her way back into the national team.

She is currently the head coach for the Clay County United Soccer Alliance U18 girls' soccer team. She will soon be taking over as the Director of Coaching for the girls side of the operation, for the GSA in Gainesville, Florida.
Christine Marie Nairn is an American retired soccer player from Annapolis, Maryland. She previously played for the Houston Dash, Orlando Pride, Washington Spirit and Seattle Reign FC in the NWSL and has had regular loan spells with Melbourne Victory in the Australian W-League. She has represented the United States at senior level as well at numerous youth levels. In 2008, she helped the under-20 national team win gold at the 2008 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Chile. Nairn announced her retirement from professional soccer on September 18, 2021, in order to pursue a career as a professional firefighter with the Houston Fire Department.

She played for Portland Thorns FC in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). Skylar Kierra Diggins-Smith is an American professional basketball player for the Phoenix Mercury in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Diggins was drafted third overall by the Tulsa Shock in the 2013 WNBA draft. In high school, she was the National Gatorade Player of the Year and the Gatorade Female Athlete of the Year. She played college basketball for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and led the team to three consecutive Final Fours and two consecutive NCAA championship appearances.
