Hornets Rugby Football Club is an English rugby union team based in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset. The club runs three senior teams, a ladies team and the full range of junior teams. The first XV currently play in National Two West following their promotion from the South West Premier in 2022. The club also has a second XV which plays in the Tribute Somerset Premier and a third XV which plays in the Tribute Somerset 2 North.

Exeter University Rugby Football Club (EURFC) is the University of Exeter's rugby club. The men's side boasts nine sides competing in BUCS competitions, as well as a Saturday XV, currently playing in National League 2 West – a level 4 league in the English rugby union system – following their promotion from South West Premier as champions in 2021–22. The University 1st XV compete in BUCS Super Rugby, the flagship university rugby league in the United Kingdom.

Winscombe RFC is an English amateur rugby club based in the village of Winscombe, Somerset. They play at the Winscombe War Memorial Recreation Ground, also known as the Rec. The club has three senior teams, a veterans side and over 400 children registered to play at mini and junior level, as well as a girls setups with U18s and U15s being past reigning National Champions.
Taunton Rugby Football Club is an English rugby union club based in Taunton, Somerset. The first XV, Taunton Titans, play in National League 1, having achieved promotion in 2020. The second XV play in the Somerset Premier League and the third XV play in Somerset 2 South. The club also operates the full range of junior teams for both boys and girls.
Barnstaple Rugby Football Club was established in 1877 and is a rugby union club based in Barnstaple, Devon. The club's first team play in the 5th tier of the English rugby union system, Regional 1 South West, following their relegation from National League 2 West in 2022–23. The first team are called the Chiefs, and there are also 2nd and 3rd teams, a number of youth teams from under-7s to under-18s (colts), and a girls side. The club colours are red and white and their nickname is Barum.

Bridgwater & Albion Rugby Football Club is an English rugby union team based in Bridgwater, Somerset and run two senior teams, a newly formed senior women's team, a colts side and a youth section featuring the full range of age-groups. The first XV play in regional rugby, currently in Regional 2 South West following relegation from National League 3 South West in 2012.
Old Redcliffians Rugby Football Club is an English rugby union team based in Brislington, a suburb of Bristol. The club runs four senior sides and a sevens team as well as a ladies side and the full range of junior teams. The first XV currently plays in National League 2 West, a level four league in the English rugby union system, following promotion from National League 3 South West in 2016–17. The 2011–12 season was successful for the other senior teams as they all achieved promotion; the second XV now play in the Tribute Somerset Premier, the third XV play in Tribute Somerset 1 and the fourth XV play in Tribute Somerset 2 North.

Old Centralians Rugby Football Club is an English rugby union club based at Saintbridge Sports Center in Gloucester. The club operates three senior sides with the first XV playing in Regional 2 Severn, a level six league in the English rugby union league system. The club was founded in 1937 as Old Centralians but changed its name in 1970/80's to Saintbridge Former Pupils before reverting to Old Centralians during the 1990s.

The first XV play in Tribute Western Counties West after being relegated from Tribute South West 1 West in 2016–17. The Somerset Senior Cup is an annual rugby union knock-out club competition organised by the Somerset Rugby Football Union. First contested between 1906-07 and 1913-14, it was reintroduced during the 1970–71 season, with the winners being Bath. It is the most important rugby union cup competition in Somerset, ahead of the Somerset Vase.
The RFU Senior Vase is a rugby union national knockout cup competition in England run by the Rugby Football Union, which has been competed for since the 2006–07 season. It is contested for by teams at level 8 of the English rugby union system, with only 1st XV sides being allowed to enter. The competition is a national one but is split into regions until the semi-finals with the final being held at Twickenham Stadium in London. As of 2018-19 it is the fourth most prestigious national club cup competition in England behind the Premiership Rugby Cup, RFU Championship Cup and RFU Intermediate Cup.

Presently, the RFU Junior Vase is the fifth most important club cup competition in England, behind the Premiership Rugby Cup, RFU Championship Cup, RFU Intermediate Cup and RFU Senior Vase.
