Synonyms [1]

Ingaderia is a genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Opegraphaceae. [2] The genus was circumscribed by British botanist Otto Vernon Darbishire in 1897. [3]

The synonym name of Darbishirella is in honour of Otto Vernon Darbishire (1870–1934), who was a British botanist who specialised in marine algae and lichens. [4]

Krogia Genus of lichens

Krogia is a genus of corticolous lichens in the family Ramalinaceae. It occurs in tropical humid forests and rainforests. The genus was circumscribed by Norwegian lichenologist Einar Timdal in 2002, with Krogia coralloides assigned as the type species.

Toniniopsis is a genus of crustose and squamulose lichens in the family Ramalinaceae. The genus was circumscribed by Swiss lichenologist Eduard Frey in 1926, with Toniniopsis obscura designated the type and only species. The genus name of Toniniopsis is in honour of Carlo Tonini (1803–1877), who was an Italian chemist and botanist (Lichenology), who worked in Verona and was a member and President of the Academy of Agriculture. As a result of molecular phylogenetic studies, several species, formerly classified in genus Bacidia, have been transferred to Toniniopsis.

Speerschneidera is a single-species genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Leprocaulaceae. The genus was circumscribed by Italian botanist Vittore Benedetto Antonio Trevisan de Saint-Léon in 1861, with Speerschneidera euploca as the type species. This lichen was originally described by Edward Tuckerman in 1858 as Physcia euploca. It is a crustose lichen found in the southern United States and Mexico.

Josefpoeltia is a genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Teloschistaceae. It has three species. The genus was circumscribed in 1997 by lichenologists Sergey Kondratyuk and Ingvar Kärnefelt, with J. boliviensis assigned as the type species. The genus name honours lichenologist Josef Poelt, (1924-1995) who was a German-Austrian botanist and was Professor of Systematic Botany at the Free University of Berlin in 1965.

The genus was circumscribed by Damien Ertz and Paul Diederich in 2004. Previously classified in the Dothideomycetes, Oevstedalia was moved to Pezizomycotina incertae sedis due to the lack of DNA data available for the genus.

Sagema is a fungal genus in the family Lecanoraceae. It is a monotypic genus, containing a single species, the crustose lichen Sagema potentillae, found in Nepal. Both the genus and species were described in 1993 by lichenologists Josef Poelt and Martin Grube.

Opegraphaceae is a family of lichen-forming and lichenicolous fungi in the order Arthoniales. It was originally proposed by German lichenologist Ernst Stizenberger in 1862. It fell into disuse, but was resurrected in a molecular phylogenetic study of the order Arthoniales published in 2010. It now includes taxa that were previously referred to the family Roccellaceae, its sister group.

Steineropsis is a genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Pannariaceae. It has two species. The genus was circumscribed by Toby Spribille and Lucia Muggia in 2010, with Steineropsis alaskana assigned as the type species. The type specimen of this lichen was found in Skagway, Alaska, where it was growing on a rock in a snowbed at an altitude of 1,051 m (3,448 ft). The generic name alludes to a resemblance to the genus Steinera. A second species, Steineropsis laceratula, also found in Alaska, was added to the genus in 2020. Molecular phylogenetic analysis showed that Steineropsis has a sister taxon relationship to genus Protopannaria.
