Kazakhstan competed in its first Davis Cup in 1995. Kazakh players previously represented the USSR national tennis team.
In 2010, Kazakhstan competed in the Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Zone, beating South Korea in the 1st round, 5 rubbers to 0, and China in the 2nd round, 4 rubbers to 1, to earn a spot in the World Group playoffs. Kazakhstan then beat Switzerland, 5 rubbers to 0, to earn a spot in the 2011 World Group. Kazakhstan competed in the World Group in at least the following 4 years.
In 2021, Kazakhstan are in the quarterfinals, after winning their Round-robin tournament group stage.

Tomáš Berdych is a Czech former professional tennis player. His most notable achievement was reaching the final of the 2010 Wimbledon Championships, causing consecutive upsets by defeating top seed and six-time champion Roger Federer in the quarterfinals, and No. 3 Novak Djokovic in the semifinals. In the final, he lost to Rafael Nadal in straight sets. Berdych's biggest career title was the Paris Masters in 2005 as an unseeded player, defeating Ivan Ljubičić in the final.
Radek Štěpánek is a Czech former professional tennis player. His career-high singles ranking was world No. 8 and best doubles ranking was world No. 4. Štěpánek's biggest achievements are reaching two Masters 1000 event finals and the quarterfinals of Wimbledon in 2006, as well as winning the deciding match for Czech Republic's Davis Cup winning team in 2012 and again in 2013. In doubles, he won his first Grand Slam title at the 2012 Australian Open, along with Indian partner Leander Paes, defeating the Bryan Brothers in the final. Paes and Štěpánek also won the men's doubles title at the 2013 US Open, defeating Bruno Soares and Alexander Peya in the final. In November 2017, he became a coach of Novak Djokovic and in May 2019, he joined Andre Agassi as part of Grigor Dimitrov's coaching staff.
Marco Chiudinelli is a retired tennis player from Switzerland. A member of Switzerland's winning 2014 Davis Cup squad, he reached his highest singles ranking of 52 in February 2010 during a career that was often hindered by injury.

The Russia women's national tennis team represented Russia in Billie Jean King Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Russian Tennis Federation. They compete in the World Group. Following the 2020 ban of Russia by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), it competed and won the 2020–21 Billie Jean King Cup under the RTF flag and name. After the 2022 Russia invasion of Ukraine, the International Tennis Federation suspended Russia from Billie Jean King Cup competitions.

Blaž Kavčič is a Slovenian former professional tennis player. He was the highest ranked Slovenian male player ever, achieving a career-high of World No. 68 in August 2012, until Aljaž Bedene began to play for Slovenia again in January 2018, overtaking him with a career high ranking of 49. He became the first Slovenian ATP singles player to: achieve a Top 100 ranking, win a Grand Slam main draw match and perform at the Summer Olympics. He became the second Slovene ATP player earning over 2 million US dollars in prize money and is the second highest ever paid male Slovene player in history after Aljaž Bedene.
Dušan Lajović is a Serbian professional tennis player. Lajović has won two singles and two doubles titles on the ATP Tour. On 29 April 2019, Lajović reached his career-high singles ranking of world No. 23. On 21 September 2020, he peaked at No. 82 in the doubles rankings.

Marc-Andrea Hüsler is a Swiss tennis player. He has a career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 47, achieved on 13 February 2023. In doubles, he achieved a career-high ranking of world No. 132 on 25 October 2021. He is currently the No. 1 Swiss player.
