Lakshmi Niwas Birla (11 July 1909 - 29 August 1994) was one of the scions of Birla family and a noted Industrialist , philanthropist , writer and art connoisseur.

He was the eldest son of Ghanshyam Das Birla and his first wife Durgadevi. He was later adopted by Jugal Kishore Birla. He later married to Sushila Devi and had one son Sudarshan Kumar Birla from marriage born in 1934. [1] [2]

He served as president of Indian Chamber of Commerce in 1951 [3] and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry for year 1967. [4]

He wrote many books in English and Hindi and was also noted art connoisseur. [5] [6]

He donated monies to build Hindu temples. The idols of Hindu temple at Durban had been bought out of his donations. [7]

He established Birla High School also called as Hindi High School in the year 1941.

Brij Mohan Birla was one of the scions of Birla family and a noted Industrialist and philanthropist. He was the youngest and 4th son of Baldeo Das Birla. He served as Chairman of Hindustan Motors, Ruby General Insurance, India Exchange Ltd, NBC Bearing and was on board of several other Birla companies. He founded Hindustan Motors in 1942 and NBC Bearings in 1946. CK Birla Group is successor to his branch of Birla family. He served as president of Indian Chamber of Commerce in 1936 and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry for year 1954.

Sudarshan Kumar Birla or S. K. Birla is an Industrialist, and a senior member of Birla family. He heads the S. K. Birla group, which once consisted of several companies like DIGJAM, Digvijay Woolen Mills, Mysore Cement, Birla Eastern, Nabin Industries, Xpro India. He is son of Lakshmi Niwas Birla and eldest grandson of G. D. Birla. While he continues to hold the controlling stake in S K Birla group, he passed the charge of group to his son Sidhharth Birla in 2010. He served as the President of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry for year 1990.
