List of Namibia Twenty20 International cricketers

This is a list of Namibian Twenty20 International cricketers. In April 2018, the ICC decided to grant full Twenty20 International (T20I) status to all its members. Therefore, all Twenty20 matches played between Namibia and other ICC members after 1 January 2019 will be eligible for T20I status. [1]

Contents

This list comprises all members of the Namibia cricket team who have played at least one T20I match. It is initially arranged in the order in which each player won his first Twenty20 cap. Where more than one player won his first Twenty20 cap in the same match, those players are listed alphabetically by surname. Namibia played their first T20I match on 20 May 2019 against Ghana at the ICC T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier Finals. [2]

Wiese played international cricket for South Africa from 2013 to 2016, before making his international debut for Namibia in October 2021.

Jan Nicolaas Frylinck is a South African-born Namibian cricketer who currently plays for Namibia national cricket team. He is a left-handed batsman and left-arm medium-fast bowler. Frylinck made his first-class debut for Boland on 24 March 2011 against Western Province.

Merwe Gerhard Erasmus is a Namibian cricketer, and the current captain of the Namibia cricket team.

Johannes Jonathan Smit is a Namibian cricketer who made his debut for the Namibian national side in February 2012, aged 16.

Lo-handre Louwrens is a Namibian cricketer who made his international debut for the Namibia cricket team in August 2019.

He was previously named in Namibia's squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his List A debut for Namibia in the 2017–18 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge on 11 February 2018.

Ben Shikongo is a Namibian cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Namibia in the 2017–18 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup on 8 February 2018. He was previously named in Namibia's squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his List A debut for Namibia in the 2017–18 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge on 11 February 2018.

The Botswana cricket team toured Namibia in August 2019 to play a four-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series. The series was the first bilateral T20I series hosted in the country and provided Namibia with preparation for the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier. The teams also played two friendly 50-over matches either side of the T20I series.
