Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang is a retired Malaysian politician. He was the longest-serving opposition leader in Malaysia, having held the position for a total of 29 years on three separate occasions, as well as the second longest-serving member of parliament. He was also the former Secretary-General and National Chairman of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), which is a component party of the Pakatan Harapan coalition.
Elections in Malaysia include elections to public office of the political entities that since 1963 have composed the federation of Malaysia. At present, elections in Malaysia exist at two levels: federal level and state level. Federal level elections are those for membership in the Dewan Rakyat, the lower house of Parliament, while state level elections are for membership in the various State Legislative Assemblies. The heads of executive branch at both the federal and state levels, the Prime Minister and Menteri Besar/Chief Ministers respectively, are usually indirectly elected, filled by a member of the majority party/coalition in the respective legislatures.
Fong Kui Lun is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bukit Bintang since November 1999 and Klang from October 1990 to April 1995. He is a member of Democratic Action Party (DAP), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) and formerly Pakatan Rakyat (PR), Barisan Alternatif (BA) as well as Gagasan Rakyat (GR) coalitions. He has also served as the Treasurer-General of DAP since 1999. He is also presently the oldest MP at the age of 77.

He served as the State Leader of the Opposition of Kedah from October 2022 and Member of the Kedah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Gurun from May 2018 to his resignations in December 2022, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sungai Petani from March 2008 and Chairman of the Pakatan Harapan Backbenchers Club (PHBBC) from August 2018 to November 2022 respectively. He is a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition.
Chow Kon Yeow is a Malaysian politician, lawyer and journalist who has served as the 5th Chief Minister of Penang since May 2018, Member of the Penang State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Padang Kota since March 2008 and Member of Parliament (MP) for Batu Kawan since November 2022. He served as Member of the Penang State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) and Pakatan Harapan (PH) state administrations under former Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng from March 2008 to his promotion to Chief Ministership in May 2018, MP for Tanjong from November 1999 to May 2013 and again from May 2018 to November 2022 and the MLA for Pengkalan Kota from October 1990 to April 1995. He is a member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), a component party of the PH and formerly PR coalitions. He has also served as the State Chairman of PH and DAP of Penang since May 2019 as well as the National Vice Chairman of DAP since September 2004. He is presently the only non-Muslim and Chinese head of state government among the 13 Malaysian states.
Ismail bin Mohamed Said is a Malaysian politician who served as the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs I for the second term in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob and former Minister Hamzah Zainuddin from August 2021 to the collapse of the BN administration in November 2022 and the first term in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and former Minister Hamzah from March 2020 to the collapse of the BN administration in August 2021, Member of Parliament (MP) for Kuala Krau from March 2004 to November 2022, the Deputy Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat in the BN administration from under former Prime Minister Najib Razak and former Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia from June 2013 to May 2018. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the BN coalition. He is also former Chairman of the Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN).
Ronald Kiandee is a Malaysian politician. A member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU) and its Vice President since August 2020 and 2nd State Chairman of Sabah since December 2022, he has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Beluran since November 1999. He served as Minister of Agriculture and Food Industries in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin from March 2020 to the collapse of the PN administration in August 2021. He was reappointed to the same post for a second term in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob from August 2021 until the dissolution of the BN government in November 2022, when BN lost its reelection campaign in the 2022 general election. Prior to serving in the Cabinet, Kiandee was the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) administration from 2018 to 2019 and Deputy Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat in the BN administration from 2008 to 2018. He is presently the sole MP of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party of Sabah and one of the only two Christian MPs of PN alongside Ali Biju.
Datuk Seri Panglima Bung Moktar bin Radin is a Malaysian politician and lawyer {{Citation needed}} who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Kinabatangan since November 1999 and Member of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Lamag since September 2020. He served as the Deputy Chief Minister I, State Minister of Works of Sabah from September 2020 to January 2023, Chairman of FELCRA Berhad from 2013 to 2018 and Deputy Chairman of the Barisan Nasional Backbenchers Club (BNBBC) from 2008 to 2018. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He has also served as the State Chairman of BN and UMNO of Sabah since December 2018. He is a former member of United Sabah National Organisation (USNO).

Dato' Dr. Tan Kee Kwong is a Malaysian politician of Chinese origin. He served as a Member of Parliament for Wangsa Maju representing People's Justice Party (PKR) of Pakatan Harapan coalition between 2013 and 2018. Previously, he was the Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia (Gerakan) Member of Parliament for Segambut for three terms from 1995 to 2008 and was the deputy minister of Land and Cooperative Development from 1999 to 2004 in the Barisan Nasional (BN) federal government. He later joined PKR in 2008 and currently sat on the party disciplinary board.
