Llanbedr Dyffryn Clwyd is a small village and community in Denbighshire in Wales, approximately 2 miles north-east of the town of Ruthin on the main A494 road towards Chester.
There are several places called Llanbedr in Wales, as the word literally translates to 'church of St. Peter' in English. There are two churches called St Peter's in Llanbedr D.C. (as it is sometimes abbreviated to), the original medieval church of St. Peter and still stands as a Grade 2 listed ruin near Llanbedr Hall, and the present parish church of St. Peter, also Grade 2 listed, is alongside the A494 dedicated in 1864, part of the Deanery of Dyffryn Clwyd in the Diocese of St. Asaph. In 1831 the parish had a population of 527, a number which fell to 285 by the time of the 1901 census. [2] In the 2011 census the population of Llanbedr was 787.
Llanbedr Dyffryn Clwyd is part of the electoral ward called Llanbedr Dyffryn Clwyd/Llangynhafal. This ward had a total population in the 2011 census of 1,421. [3]
Ruthin is a market town and community in Denbighshire, Wales, in the south of the Vale of Clwyd. It is Denbighshire's county town. The town, castle and St Peter's Square lie on a hill, skirted by villages such as Pwllglas and Rhewl. The name comes from the Welsh rhudd (red) and din (fort), after the colour of sandstone bedrock, from which the castle was built in 1277–1284. The Old Mill, Ruthin, is nearby. Maen Huail, a registered ancient monument attributed to the brother of Gildas and King Arthur, stands in St Peter's Square.
Llanrwst is a market town and community on the A470 road and the River Conwy, in Conwy County Borough, Wales, and the historic county of Denbighshire. It developed round the wool trade and became known also for the making of harps and clocks. Today, less than a mile from the edge of Snowdonia, its main pursuit is tourism. Notable buildings include almshouses, two 17th-century chapels, and the Parish Church of St Grwst, which holds a stone coffin of Llywelyn the Great. The 2011 census gave it a population of 3,323.

Trefnant is a village and community in Denbighshire, Wales. It is located on the A525 road in the Vale of Clwyd, about halfway between St Asaph (Llanelwy) to the north and Denbigh to the south. At the 2001 Census, the community had a population of 1,409, increasing to 1,581 at the 2011 Census.

By the 2001 census, it had 1048 residents and 50.6% of them could speak Welsh. The figures for the 2011 census were: population 1,053:Welsh speakers 46.9%. The age group with the highest percentage of Welsh speakers was the 15-year-olds where every one could speak it. The villages of Pentrecelyn and Graig Fechan are located in the community.

It lies on the bank of the River Aled and is about 8 miles to the south of Abergele and 9 miles (14 km) to the west of Denbigh. The population was 1,291 in 2001, with 67% able to speak Welsh. The figures for the 2011 census were: population 1,335 with 63% able to speak Welsh. The community includes the hamlets of Bylchau, Rhydgaled and Y Groes, and the lake Llyn Aled and reservoir Aled Isaf on Mynydd Hiraethog. Llansannan is in the traditional county of Denbighshire.

Llangwm is a village and community in Conwy County Borough, in Wales. It is located in the valley of the Afon Medrad, close to the borders with Denbighshire and Gwynedd, 2.9 miles (4.7 km) south of Cerrigydrudion, 7.8 miles (12.6 km) west of Corwen and 27.9 miles (44.9 km) south east of Conwy. At the 2001 census the community had a population of 516, decreasing to 470 at the 2011 census. It is one of three communities in the Uwchaled ward, and includes the hamlets of Dinmael, Gellioedd, Glan-yr-afon, Llangwm, Maerdy, and Ty-nant.
Derwen is a rural village in the south of Denbighshire, Wales. It lies approximately halfway between Corwen and Ruthin, in the upper part of Dyffryn Clwyd on the north side of the River Clwyd, opposite the village of Bryn Saith Marchog. The population of the community as taken at the 2011 census was 426.

It is located on the border with Denbighshire, between the Afon Aled and River Elwy, 5.7 miles (9.2 km) north west of Denbigh, 5.8 miles (9.3 km) south west of St Asaph, 6.9 miles (11.1 km) south of Abergele and 15.2 miles (24.5 km) south east of Conwy. In the 2011 census the community parish had a population of 590. The community includes the village of Cefn Berain and part of the hamlet of Bont Newydd.
Old St Peter's Church a Grade II-listed ruin is situated above the B5429 in the village of Llanbedr Dyffryn Clwyd. It was first mentioned in the Lincoln Taxatio of 1291. Valued at £418 in the Valor Ecclesiasticus of 1535.
