Rakesh Roshan is an Indian film producer, director, screenwriter and actor who works in Hindi films. He had appeared in 84 films throughout the 1970s and 1980s until 1989. As an actor, he was mostly known for his supporting roles in big-budget films. Later, his prominence increased and achieved fame for directing films with titles beginning with the letter "K" since 1987.
Khal Nayak (transl. Villain) is a 1993 Indian Hindi-language action crime film written, directed and produced by Subhash Ghai under Mukta Arts Ltd. The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit and Jackie Shroff. The plot focuses on the escape and attempted capture of criminal Ballu (Dutt) by sub-Inspector Ram (Shroff) and his cop girlfriend Ganga (Dixit).
Mumbai Xpress is a 2005 Indian black comedy film directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao and produced by Kamal Haasan. It stars Kamal Haasan himself in the lead role alongside Manisha Koirala. The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja, while Siddharth Ramaswamy and Ashmith Kunder handled the cinematography and editing respectively. The film was simultaneously made in Tamil and Hindi languages. The lead pair, as well as Sharat Saxena, Ramesh Aravind, Hardik Thakar, and Dheena, were retained for the Hindi version. In the Hindi version, Vijay Raaz, Dinesh Lamba, Om Puri, Saurabh Shukla and Pratima Kazmi reprise the roles played by Pasupathy, Vaiyapuri, Nassar, Santhana Bharathi and Kovai Sarala, respectively.

The music of the film was composed by Arjun Janya. B. K. Srinivas has produced the venture under BK Srinivasa Productions. The film released in theatres across Karnataka on 9 March 2012. However the film is rated as an average, but the director Hari Santhosh fetched best director in Karnataka state film awards 2012–13.

The film stars debutant Girish Kumar alongside Shruti Haasan in lead roles. The film is a remake of Prabhudeva's directorial debut film Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana. The film was released on 19 July 2013.

It stars Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao alongside Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee. The plot is based on the urban legend Nale Ba of Karnataka modified as O Stree Kal Aana in the film.
