The Menorca football team represents Menorca, an island of Balearic Islands Autonomous Community of Spain. They are not affiliated with FIFA or UEFA, because it is represented internationally by the Spain national football team. It only plays friendly matches. Menorca is a member of the International Island Games Association and has taken part in Football at the Island Games. [1]

The International Island Games Association (IIGA) is the organising body for the Island Games, a friendly biennial multi-sport competition between teams from several European islands and other small territories. The Island Games are biennial international multi-sports events organised by the International Island Games Association (IIGA). The Gibraltar men's national football team represents Gibraltar in international football competitions, and is controlled by the Gibraltar Football Association. Gibraltar applied for full Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) membership and was accepted by the UEFA Congress in May 2013. It can therefore compete in the UEFA European Championship starting with the 2016 tournament for which the team competed in UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying Group D. Club de Fútbol Sporting Mahonés was a Spanish football team based in Mahón, Menorca, in the autonomous community of Balearic Islands prior to its 2012 dissolution. The club has a successor called Sporting Mahón in the local Menorcan league.

the Åland women's official football team represents Åland in women's association football and is controlled by the Åland Football Association (ÅFF). the team isn't affiliated with FIFA nor UEFA. The team mainly competes in the Island Games. the team was crowned champions winning gold medals three times.
