Amjad Hussain directed two other films before, Golapi Ekhon Traine (1978), Golapi Ekhon Dhaka e (1995) and they are not the prequel of this film. The filming of Golapi Ekhon Bilatey began in May 2006 and it was released on 29 January 2010 in Bangladesh.

Daruchini Dwip is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language film. It was released on 31 August 2007 throughout Bangladesh. The film is based on the Bangladeshi novelist and film maker Humayun Ahmed’s popular novel of the same name. It was directed by popular actor - director Tauquir Ahmed. Daruchini Dwip stars Riaz, Fazlur Rahman Babu, the award-winning Zakia Bari Momo, Abul Hayat, Asaduzzaman Noor, Dolly Johur, Challenger, Rahmat Ali, Wahida Mollick Jolly and Abdullah al Mamun. The film marks the debut film of Momo, Emon, Bindu, and Munmun.

Alauddin Ali was a Bangladeshi music composer. He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Music Director five times for the films Golapi Ekhon Traine (1978), Sundori (1979), Koshai (1980), Jogajog (1988) and Lakhe Ekta (1990). He won the Best Music Composer award for the film Laal Doriya (2002) and the Best Lyrics award for Premik (1985). Falguni Rahman Jolly is a Bangladeshi film actress. As a child, Rahman studied singing and dancing at Bangladesh Shishu Academy. She started her career with 2016's Jaaz Multimedia production Angaar. Sincerely Yours, Dhaka is a 2018 Impress Telefilm drama film produced as Bangladesh's first anthology film directed by eleven individual directors. It is a collection of gritty shorts centered on the capital city of Bangladesh, Dhaka, and the people living in its margins. It was awarded "Best Original Screenplay" at the 11th edition of the Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF), held from January 18 to 22, 2019 in Jaipur, India. It is one of the first two films to enter Netflix originating from Bangladesh. It was selected as the Bangladeshi entry for Best International Feature Film at the 93rd Academy Awards, but it was not nominated. It was also screened at 51st International Film Festival of India in January 2021 in Country in focus section.

Dolly Sayontoni is a Bangladeshi playback singer and businesswoman. She releases solo, duet, and mixed albums and also songs for Bangladeshi cinema. She released 15 solo albums, over 100 duet songs and mixed albums and also sings in over 700 Bengali films. She has sung in many hit film songs including “Tomare tomare”, “O Pakhi Re”, “Tui Jodi Hoiti vala”, “Ek Jhak Pakhi”, "Boli Boli Kore".

<i>August 1975</i> (film) Bangladeshi political drama film

August 1975 is 2021 Bangladeshi political drama film based on the immediate aftermath of assassination of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The film is produced by Selim Khan whose production company operates as Shapla Media International Ltd. Afsaruddin Bhuiyan, Kazi Mizanur Rahman and Nasuir Uddin also join the film as executive producers. Selim Khan directed the movie alongside Shamim Ahamed Roni. Masuma Rahman Nabila, Tauquir Ahmed and Shahiduzzaman Selim have been cast in various leading roles. The film portrays history of the killing of Rahman on 15 August, till his burial on 16 August. Principal photography of this film begun on 10 July and ended on 29 July 2020. The film was released on Cinebaj on 15 August 2021, the National Mourning Day in Bangladesh.

<i>Golui</i> 2022 Bangladeshi film

Golui is a 2022 Bangladeshi government-granted romantic drama film directed by SA Haque Olike and produced by Khorshed Alam Khosru. The film stars Shakib Khan, Puja Cherry, Azizul Hakim and Suchorita in the lead roles. The cast also includes Fazlur Rahman Babu, Suchorita, Ali Raj, Jhuna Chowdhury, Somu Chowdhury in supporting roles. The shooting of the film was started on 20 September 2021 in the beautiful locations of Jamunachar in Jamalpur and Mirzapur in Tangail. The film was released on 3 May 2022 for the Eid-ul-Fitr.
