Michelle Lim Davidson (born 23 July 1987 [1] ) is an Australian actress. [2] She got her break in television starring on the skit show Ben Elton Live from Planet Earth in 2011. [3] [4] [5] From 2012 she was a presenter on Play School , a long running Australian TV show and its spin off, Big Ted's Big Adventure. [5] She also played the role of Amy in two seasons of the critically acclaimed comedy series Utopia . [6] [2] Davidson has also had roles in television series Doctor Doctor , Get Krack!n, The Newsreader and Top of the Lake China Girl . [7] In 2022, she appeared in After the Verdict . [8]

Born in South Korea, Davidson and her parents moved to Australia when she was four months old and grew up in Newcastle. [9] She attended the Hunter School of Performing Arts and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. [3] [7]

Ben Elton Live From Planet Earth was an Australian comedy television series produced by FremantleMedia which aired on the Nine Network in 2011. The program was broadcast live as a sketch comedy and variety show. Comedian Ben Elton presented the program and performed some stand-up material, with the sketches performed by an ensemble cast including Paul McCarthy and Genevieve Morris. After critical reviews, hostile social media reaction and poor ratings, the Nine Network cancelled the show after three episodes had aired.

Frayed is an Australian-British comedy-drama television series on ABC TV and Sky UK. It premiered in the United Kingdom on 26 September 2019 and in Australia on 16 October. The series was created and written by Australian comedian Sarah Kendall, who also stars in it. The first series of six episodes is set in 1988 London and Newcastle, New South Wales. Kendall portrays Sammy, who is an affluent Australian-born British resident with two teenage children.
